Prologue

In the living room Yui is looking for Kanato. She shivers at the cold and notices that a curtain has been left open and it is raining outside. Kanato appears and tells her that more importantly, he’d rather tell her not come any closer to him. Kanato sighs at how he was finally alone and enjoying this quiet time, but then it was spoiled. She smiles weakly and tells him that she thought no one was here because of how dark it was. He informs her that he has night vision and so he doesn’t need to turn on the lights. Yui compliments how useful being a vampire is. He narrows his eyes and asks her not to think of him as on the same level as an inferior human being. She apologizes warily before telling him that she finds the darkness inconvenient and asks if she can turn on the lights. Kanato tells her that if she finds it inconvenient she can go to another room. Her eyes widen as she points out that if she doesn’t close the curtain then the room will become cold. He tells her that he’s looking out the window and if she closes the curtains then it’ll be a boorish imitation. Yui blinks in surprise and asks him if he likes the rain. He narrows his eyes at her in silence before telling her slowly that if she has no business here then she can leave quickly because she’s annoying. She winces at how he completely ignored her question. But she admits that she does have business. He immediately tells her that she shouldn’t have asked such a useless question then.

It would have been better if she said her business. Yui agrees weakly and then explains that when she woke up in her room there was an uniform in there. He informs her that, starting tomorrow, she will be attending the same school as them. It’ll be a problem if she doesn’t have a uniform. Her eyes widen in confusion but Kanato continues on to say that Shu has already settled all the procedures. Everyone will be in the car when they go there but she should remember the road at that time. Of course the school they attend is a night school and he’d like her to be aware of when she should rise. Yui is annoyed by how overbearing this is. Kanato notices her mood and narrows his eyes before asking if there is a problem. She hurriedly shakes her head because it can’t be helped if all the formalities have been settled. Aside from it being in the next town, it would be a problem to attend her previous school. Anyway, Kanato tells her that if she has no further business then he wants her to hurry up and leave. She exasperatedly tells him that he doesn’t have to be so unkind. Yui smiles and tells him that she thought they might be able to talk to each other. He asks her why she thinks that. She points out that he seems to treasure that teddy bear. Then she confesses that she doesn’t think a person who loves stuffed toys could be bad. Yui tells him that she thinks the teddy bear is cute. Does it have a name? He replies curtly that it’s Teddy. She grins at that and greets Teddy. He narrows his eyes though and asks her cut this cheap talk.

Kanato coldly informs her that he had the vivid image of her falling and spilling the drink all over herself. She frowns and tells him that she doesn’t think she’s that klutzy, but she thanks him. Then she hands him the hot drink she made and warns him to be careful. He thanks her politely and she smiles at how having hot ginger tea is the best when one is cold. He takes a sip and she’s glad that he’s actually drinking it. But he glares at her and tells her that he doesn’t drink this thing. She yelps when he dumps the hot tea on her hand. When she looks at him in confusion he reminds her that she chose him, right? In that case, she should have inquired as to his preferences and acted in that way. Yui shuts her eyes and wonders why Kanato is so scary. She feels like she can’t disobey him but she doesn’t know why she feels this way. His voice is low as he asks once again if she’ll fix the drink. She nods her head weakly and he giggles before praising her for being a good girl. Then she yelps in pain when he grabs her hand crushingly. He comments on how it looks like the tea spilt on it and it must have been hot. He puts on a sympathetic air and then kisses her hand. Kanato looks up with a slow smile and asks her if she understands what it means to have chosen him. When she looks confused he laughs at how he needs to teach her then. She feels scared at that.

Yui walks into the dining room and greets Kanato as it seems like he’s the first one awake this night. He asks her what she’s doing and she informs him that she’s eating a meal. He asks her where his portion is. Yui hesitantly replies that there is none and he asks her why that is because he feels like eating something as well. She asks him in confusion if he even eats meals. He narrows his eyes and tells her that naturally he does.

She is still confused as she points out that a vampire’s meal is blood. Kanato asks her if she’s implying that she will become his meal. Yui’s eyes widen and she denies it quickly. Kanato orders her to hurry up and prepare a meal for him then. She gapes at him and he informs her that vampires have preferences for food as well. He asks her not to speak in speculation and prejudice. It’s annoying.

Yui apologizes quietly and he tells her that if she understands then she should hurry up and make something. However, if it isn’t sweet then he won’t accept that meal. She points out that she’s in the middle of her meal though but Kanato tells her that he doesn’t need to know her condition. All she has to do is shut up and act according to his words. She tries to protest but he glares at her and asks for her answer.

It is with closed eyes that Yui bows her head to him. He giggles and praises her for being a good girl. When she goes to the kitchen she sighs in her mind and thinks about how she’s never seen them eating a meal ever since coming here, so why does he suddenly want some. But then she recalls that she has seen him eat sweets. It can’t be helped though and she’ll have to work hard to cook something he likes.

Suddenly Kanato appears and asks her if she’s decided on what to make. She hums thoughtfully and then decides on french toast. He blinks in confusion and so she explains that the egg is beaten with a lot of sugar and then grilled in plenty of butter. And if it still isn’t sweet enough then one can use maple syrup on it. He narrows his eyes and tells her that from her prattling about the grilled french toast it sounds unappetizing.

Yui protests about that and tells him that she thinks he’ll enjoy it. He notes how she seems to have a lot of confidence. She informs him that her french toast is her pride and she used to make them a lot for her father. He hums at that and then orders her to hurry up in that case then. He dislikes having to wait. She winces and assures him that she’ll work hard. He merely tells her to see that she does.

She doesn’t know what he’ll say if she’s too slow so she’s going to make them fast! When she finally finishes and enters the dining room she apologizes for making him wait and then tells him that she brought it out. But Kanato hisses out that she’s slow. Yui doesn’t catch it though and asks him with a smile if he said something. Kanato screams out that she’s too slow and throws the plate to the ground.

Yui yelps in fright and watches with wide eyes as the french toast she made falls to the ground. He asks her angrily how long she intended to make him wait. She can only stare at him with wide eyes as he continues to rant about how he told her that he hated being made to wait, so why did she do it!? Why did she make him wait this long? He yells out that this degree is shameless. Yui defends herself by saying that this was already really fast.

She doesn’t even think 30 minutes has passed. He screams at her to shut up and not to back talk him. He slams his hands on the table and she asks him worriedly what he’s doing. But he just hisses out how he won’t forgive her for making him wait so long and, above that, for striking back at him. He screams out that he won’t forgive her and Yui flinches while saying his name. But Kanato just yells out that she should just bite her tongue right now and die.

Yui tells him sternly to calm down and if he doesn’t stop scattering things around then she’ll get angry. Kanato stills and quietly repeats her words. Yui’s eyes widen when she notices that the atmosphere around Kanato has changed. He asks her quietly who it is who’ll be angry. She hesitantly replies that Reiji will. She points out that Reiji frequently does the cleaning and tidying.

That’s why if he flings things around like this, doesn’t he think that Reiji will be angry? He snarls out that he doesn’t wish to hear things like that. She flinches in surprise and Kanato points out roughly that he’s the one who is in front of her right now. Yet she’s talking about another man. He screams out that she is really a disgusting woman. She defends herself by saying that she’s just saying normal things.

He asks her loudly if she’s already forgotten that she isn’t to back talk him. She winces at that and he smiles slowly as he points out that she has a bad memory for things that will save her. If she doesn’t understand just from words it looks like it’ll be easier to teach her body. Yui worriedly wonders what he’s going to do. Kanato’s tone is light as he comments on how convenient it is to have a knife and fork here.

Kanato has a deranged smile on his face as he politely asks her to come over to him for punishment. She refuses but Kanato tells her lowly that she has no right to refuse. He won’t let her run. He grabs her and slams her on the table which makes her yelp in pain. Then he tells her not to struggle or else she’ll hurt herself unnecessarily. Yui continues to protest but Kanato muses on how today she’s back talked to him twice now.

That’s why he’s going to stab her body in six places. Yui repeats his words in horror. Kanato informs her that the punishment has to be three times. Then he giggles and asks her if she isn’t happy to have his hands engrave her crime. He swings the fork down and Yui screams while struggling. But he tells her calmly not to struggle or the wounds will increase. He swings the fork again and she cries out. Kanato calmly informs her that he dislikes noisy things.

If she screams even once then he’ll increase her injuries. Yui’s eyes widen and in her mind she screams at how it hurts and how scary it is. Kanato starts to laugh crazily at how she’s biting her lip and he tells her to endure it like a doll. He giggles out 「ユイさんは苦痛に耐えている姿だけは、とっても可愛いんですから・・・ふふ。」(How you look as you endure this pain is awfully cute… Fufu). He continues to stab her while laughing maniacally.

Yui wonders out loud at what this place is. Kanato informs her that she should be able to understand just from looking. It’s a room decorated by wax dolls. Can she not even comprehend that much? Yui confesses that this is her first time seeing wax dolls. The atmosphere is eerie and it almost feels like they’re alive. Kanato smiles and asks how she finds them. Aren’t they amazing? She nods hesitantly.

He tells her that this is a place he likes to play in. Teddy is also in a good mood whenever they come here. She nods politely but he frowns and asks her if something is wrong because it doesn’t look like she’s enjoying herself. Does she not like it? Yui stutters as she tries to search for answers . He brought her to a place he likes at great pains and so if she tells him that she doesn’t like this place then he might become displeased.

She plasters a smile on her face and tells him that she likes this place as well because it’s very interesting. Kanato snarls at her not to lie though. She flinches in fright and he wonders out loud shakily why women are so quick as to lie. Yui tries to deny that but he quickly points out how she’s lying once again. He asks her why she’s lying and if she wants to deceive him that badly.

Kanato starts to tear up as he accuses her of wanting him to believe in her lies and then laughing at him when she sees him wounded. Yui apologizes and tells him that she didn’t think he would be that hurt by her white lie. He asks her tearfully if this is her excuse this time. She hurriedly tells him that she really is sorry and she isn’t making up an excuse. He asks her to sincerely apologize more.

And so she apologizes and promises that she won’t lie to him anymore. He asks her shyly if she really will. She nods firmly. Kanato smiles and his voice returns to normal as he tells her that is good then. Yui smiles herself at how he’s finally stopped crying. Kanato returns to the previous conversation and confirms that, in the end, she doesn’t like this place, does she?

She nods hesitantly and he admits that he can’t believe it. He asks her why and so she confesses that the wax dolls give off an eerie atmosphere. He laughs at her strange words. He points out that women like stuffed toys and dolls, don’t they? Wax dolls are of the same category. Yui explains that their eyes look too real and she doesn’t like that sensation. Things like Teddy are cute and so they’re fine.

Kanato laughs and tells her that is obvious because Teddy is the cutest thing in the world. He points out that these aren’t the words someone living in a haunted mansion would be thought of to say though. Yui tells him that these are only the things the people in town say. They all think that the haunted mansion is haunted. It’s more like a vampire mansion though. She’s also seen monsters countless of times here.

These wax dolls have a strange sense of living. Kanato frowns and admits that he doesn’t understand that sensation. He points out that Teddy and these wax dolls are the same in how they don’t have souls. She repeats his word about souls in surprise, but he just giggles. She wonders what he means but Kanato changes the subject by saying her name. Yui eyes him warily because the atmosphere around him is starting to feel dangerous.

He informs her that he thinks she would be beautiful as a doll. Her eyes widen and he appears in front of her to wonder out loud how beautiful she would be as a corpse which couldn’t speak. He smiles cutely as he tells her that he’ll sew that noisy mouth of hers up prettily. He’ll insert glass beads in her eyes. He wonders what color would be best and asks her about the color purple? Yui is still confused by what he’s going on about.

But Kanato continues on about how her skin, devoid of blood, will become smooth and transparent like porcelain. He tells her not to worry because he’ll properly drain her blood. She stutters as she tells him to wait and asks him what he’s talking about. Kanato asks her if she feels like wanting to become a doll right now though. Her eyes widen as he tells her that he’ll decorate her with care. Teddy will surely be pleased to have a companion as well.

There’s nothing disadvantageous about that to her, right? He asks her what she thinks. Yui asks him what he’s saying and tells him that it’d be impossible. Kanato tilts his head and asks her why that would be impossible. She blurts out that she definitely doesn’t want to become a doll! Kanato giggles and asks her why she’s that scared before commenting on how lovely her reaction is. She hesitantly says his name.

But he whispers near her ear how that expression was lovely. It was very wonderful. He wonders out loud why her face, twisted in fear, is so inviting and then he laughs quietly. Yui grimaces but Kanato steps away and calmly tells her that they should return. She nods hesitantly and thinks in her mind about how he was serious a while ago. He was serious about killing her here and turning her into a doll. She doesn’t want that and she’s scared!

Both of them are in the game room and Kanato calls out her name. She smiles questioningly and he tells her that he doesn’t think this is possible but he needs to ask if she knows the rules for chess. Yui informs him that she does but his voice lowers as he asks her if she’s lying. She’s taken aback and tells him hurriedly that she isn’t lying. She really does know the rules. Her father loves chess and he taught her the rules a long time ago.

She thinks she can still remember them. He’s mumbling about how he can’t believe that someone with a terrible mind like hers can understand the rules of chess. Yui admits in her mind that saying she understands the rules of chess gives off a different feeling. Anyway, Kanato admits that is well then because he’s bored. He wants her to become his opponent for chess. She tells him that she’s terribly weak.

Can she even be his opponent? He informs her that he’s just passing the time and he doesn’t care if it isn’t even a game. From the start, he didn’t have the slightest bit of hope that she’d be strong. He tells her not to be conceited because it’ll make him vomit. Yui apologizes dubiously which makes Kanato inform her that this isn’t a request it’s an order. She tells him she understands and she’ll try to do as he says.

But Kanato admits that if it isn’t a match it’ll be uninteresting and so he’ll give her a handicap. Her opponent for this match won’t be him, it’ll be Teddy. In her mind Yui thinks about how if her opponent is Teddy, in the end that means it’ll still be Kanato. That’s not a handicap! He smiles at her and suggests that they begin. He tells her that Teddy said it was fine for her to make the first move.

Yui thinks about how if she’s making the first move then that means she’s white. Kanato inclines his head and tells her that Teddy agrees with being black. She asks him if Teddy likes black. He informs her that black is the color of the night, the darkness, and demons. They can’t possibly not like it. She eyes him with a look of incredulity but Kanato just tells her not to dawdle and to move her piece.

She smiles and decides to move a pawn to E4. Kanato softly asks Teddy what he will do and then smiles and nods. He moves a piece and she responds by moving another pawn. Kanato narrows his eyes and tells her sharply that she doesn’t have to open her mouth every single time and he looks towards Teddy for agreement. He moves another piece and she apologizes quietly before moving. Kanato smiles and agrees out loud with Teddy about moving one of his rooks.

Yui notices how the way Kanato talks to Teddy is completely different from how he talks to her. They continue to move their pieces but Kanato’s eyes widen in shock. She blinks in surprise when she notices that even though they’re still in the early stages she has the superior advantage. Kanato narrows his eyes at one of her moves and Yui wonders if she’s actually quite skilled in chess. Kanato softly tells Teddy that they can’t move their rook.

If they do their queen will be taken. He suggests the bishop and nods when Teddy agrees. Yui tells him that she’s going to move a knight and place him in check. His eyes widen and he inhales sharply. She calls his name worriedly but Kanato starts to cry. Yui panics at that and wonders what she should do. She blurts out that it isn’t a checkmate yet so he’s fine. He grits his teeth to hold back his sobs.

She’s taken aback by his vicious glare. She can’t help but smile when she notices how he’s crying just at this. Does he hate losing? It makes him kind of cute. Suddenly he snarls at her and she flinches before asking him what is wrong. He yells out that she was laughing at him right now, wasn’t she!

Yui is confused until she realizes she must have given a small smile. Kanato screams to her about how she can’t possibly laugh at him. He demands her to apologize immediately. He lunges at her, which sends the chessboard flying, and then grabs her to yell at her to apologize. She apologizes quickly and tries to tell him that she didn’t mean it that way.

He snaps out that until he says it’s fine he doesn’t want anything but apologizes coming out of her mouth. She shuts her eyes and cringes, but Kanato screams at her not to dally and to apologize more. Yui blurts out apology after apology. But he angrily asks her if she thinks she’ll be forgiven with that attitude. She yelps when he rips her clothing. Kanato smiles twistedly and realizes out loud that she must have angered him on purpose.

Kanato asks her what she wants him to do while he’s angry and he licks her before telling her quietly that he’ll listen. Yui denies that and continues to apologize. He laughs sharply and compliments how amazingly miserable her appearance is. He tells her to grovel more on the floor and show him her unsightly tears. If she does then he’ll forgive her for tonight. He laughs again and Yui shuts her eyes and apologizes.

He giggles at how cute she is and gives her another lick. She flinches in fear of how she doesn’t know what he’s thinking about at all. Just what should she be doing?

Yui is on the road to return home from school because Kanato asked her to meet him there. She has a terrible premonition because they could have returned home in the car immediately. But she doesn’t know what will happen if she refuses him and he becomes sullen. Suddenly Kanato appears and asks her calmly what she is thinking about. She yelps in surprise which causes him to tell her curtly not to yell so loudly so suddenly like that. It hurts his ears.

She apologizes quietly and then he repeats his question. She replies that she was wondering where they were going. He points out how useless that act is because she just moved here and is unfamiliar with the geography of the town. She agrees hesitantly and so Kanato continues on to point out how she shouldn’t waste that empty head of hers on these pointless considerations. It’d be better for her to think about other things.

Yui is astonished by his words. Kanato smiles politely and tells her that it isn’t noticeable though, because she’s always such an undisguised idiot. She laughs awkwardly but he sharply tells her not to laugh like that because it’s annoying. She apologizes weakly and sighs in her mind about how no matter how many times it passes she can’t get used to Kanato’s abusive tongue.

Anyway the two of them arrive at a graveyard and Kanato informs her that they’re here. Her eyes widen and she asks him why they’re here. He smiles slowly and informs her that the darkness is thick here and it feels nice. She asks about the thickness of the darkness. Kanato explains that she can feel the presence of demons with her skin, right? That’s why he loves graveyards. The scent of death fills him up and brightens his mood.

Yui admits that she can’t feel her mood brightening. Kanato replies that he didn’t ask about her feelings and he doesn’t want her to say unnecessary things. She asks him why he brought her along then. In her mind she thinks about how Kanato seems to prefer acting alone. He asks her if it isn’t obvious. When she looks at him in confusion he informs her that she’s going to help him pass the time.

She blinks in confusion and then her eyes widen when he disappears from in front of her. She yells out his name in shock and wonders how he disappeared from in front of her eyes. Yui can hear Kanato laughing from around her and then he suddenly whispers that 「生者が存在しない場所で、君の魂だけが輝いているのが見えます・・・」(In this place where the living do not exist, I can see your soul glittering…). She repeats his words questioningly.

But he abruptly whispers on her other side that graveyards are a place where the living are swallowed by death. She shivers and asks him where he is. Everyone is embraced by the arms of death and sink into the sweet darkness. Yui asks him what he means by that. Kanato ignores her though and asks her if she wants to join those people. Yui doesn’t understand how she can hear Kanato’s voice coming from different places but she can’t see him.

He informs her that death has an appeal. It is a tranquil, cold, and quiet world indifferent to fear. He murmurs in her ear that it would be better if she died soon. Leaves rustle and Yui screams in fright. He just giggles and tells her to come to him. She’s frightened out of her mind and wonders desperately what she should do. She decides to look towards where the voice is coming from.

And so she asks him where he is and tries to walk over there. Kanato giggles and tells her to come this way. She yells at him to stop this because she doesn’t like this anymore. She suddenly notices her pendant which has fallen, but then Kanato gasps at the sight of her rosary. He appears in front of her again which makes her say his name in relief. But Kanato is glaring at her rosary and murmurs about how he can feel an unpleasant power.

She smiles and explains that her father gave her this. It has the power of the church. It seems like something to protect her. He flatly tells her that it gives him discomfort and he asks her to hand it over so that he can burn it. Yui’s eyes widen and she refuses because it’s precious. He smiles coldly reminds her that he’s said this many times, but he doesn’t care about her circumstances at all.

He told her that it made him feel discomfort, therefore he won’t allow her to do anything but hand it over quietly. Yui shuts her eyes and apologizes but she refuses to do this. She asks him to forgive her. Kanato asks her quietly if she would like to burn with it too then. She flinches and tries to tell him that her rosary is what Teddy is to him. He snarls at her not to treat that thing and Teddy in same level.

Yui flinches and apologizes. Kanato’s eyes widen and he murmurs her name before asking if she’s actually crying. She sobs out another apology and tries to tell him that she didn’t intend on crying. He laughs softly and asks her calmly what she is afraid of. She looks at him in surprise and he laughs at how she’s crying with such a disgraceful expression.

He approaches her and murmurs 「矮小な存在のようで、とても素敵ですよ・・・可愛いです。」(Such a stunted existence is awfully lovely… How cute). Then he tells her that, because of how cute she is, for tonight he’ll leave it like this. Yui doesn’t know why but it looks as if Kanato’s mood has improved. She’s saved.

Yui comes upon Ayato in the stairway landing and greets him. He returns her greeting and asks her where she’s heading to. She explains that Kanato said he had forgotten his sweets today and so she’s heading out to buy some. He laughs and asks her if she’s become his servant. Yui shakes her head and informs him that Kanato didn’t ask her to do this. Ayato furrows his eyebrows and asks her what she means.

She explains that she’s saved from Kanato’s bad mood if she has sweets. Ayato smirks as he realizes she’s doing it for self-protection. She frowns at that and he laughs as he notes that she’s experiencing some hardships. She opens her mouth to deny it, but then shuts it. Then Ayato informs her that he’s fine with it if she wants to switch to him. Yui stares at him in shock and he points out that she must have chosen Kanato because he looked manageable.

But she must be regretting it now, right? Ayato takes a step closer and muses on how there’s no one as hypersensitive as Kanato. She must be burning her hands. He takes another step and Yui warily tells him not to come too close. Ayato asks 「なんでだよ?ヒステリー男より楽しませてやる自信、あるぜ?」(Why? I have confidence that I’ll be more fun than a hysterical brat). He pins her against the wall and she struggles and orders him to release her.

Ayato tells her not to shriek and to sound a little more erotic. He lowers his lips to her neck and she cringes at the feeling of him licking her. Yui yells out Kanato’s name while telling him to stop and Ayato frowns before ordering her to be quiet because she’s annoying. Even if she calls Kanato, he won’t come. Yui realizes that he’s right about how Kanato wouldn’t come for her.

She doesn’t know why she yelled his name. She struggles again and yells at him to release her and then screams for someone to save her. Ayato snarls and tells her that if she continues to be this noisy, he’ll drink her dry. She shuts her eyes in fear and yells for Kanato in her mind. And then suddenly Kanato appears and calmly asks Ayato what he’s doing. Ayato looks back and frowns since he was just getting to a good part too.

Yui calls out Kanato’s name and begs for him to save her. Kanato points out to Ayato that it seems like he’s doing something Yui doesn’t like. Ayato smirks and asks him what he’s going to do if he is. Is there a problem? Kanato’s voice lowers 「僕の餌を取るな。」(Do not take my prey). Yui’s eyes widen at how even though Kanato is expressionless, his voice is deadly cold.

Ayato narrows his eyes and informs him that if he doesn’t want her stolen then he should lock her up in chains. Kanato is silent and so Ayato continues to say that his defenseless feast is walking around here and there. Of course she’d be eaten like that. Ayato grins at this and prepares to bite down on Yui, which makes her closes her eyes in horror at having her blood drained from in front of Kanato.

But suddenly Kanato starts to cry. Ayato and Yui both blink in surprise and turn their attention to him. Kanato continues to cry which makes Ayato snarl out that he doesn’t want to see a man’s crying face. He snaps at Kanato to fix that crying habit of his and accuses him of being too spoiled. He stalks off after saying this and Yui smiles in relief at having been saved. She thanks Kanato gratefully and then apologizes before telling him not to cry anymore.

Kanato just smirks though and informs her calmly that he was clearly faking his crying. Her eyes widen in surprise but then he sharply calls her the worst. He shoves her and she winces as she scrapes her palms in the fall. He reminds her that she chose to remain by his side. She says his name questioningly and he murmurs that just when he took his eyes off her, she went and seduced Ayato. He was surprised.

Yui protests this and tries to defend herself, but he cuts her off and tells her with a chilly smile that he understands. She’s confused until he explains that women are creatures who are adept in selling their flirtations. She calls his words cruel. But he narrows his eyes and orders her to give him her hand. She’s confused at this switch and he smiles as he informs her that he’ll disinfect it.

He starts suck and lick at her hand. Yui watches him with wide eyes and realizes that she doesn’t understand what Kanato is thinking of at all.

Yui is standing in the school hallway and wondering where Kanato is since it’s time to return home. She wonders if they’re walking home today instead of using the car. She suddenly hears someone singing the lyrics to Scarborough Fair. It’s a beautiful voice and she decides to go and find the singer. Her eyes widen in shock when she discovers that it is Kanato. She didn’t realize he had this special skill.

He has a beautiful voice that absorbs the listener. Yui is surprised when he suddenly stops singing until he opens the door and asks her if she’s eavesdropping. She apologizes quickly and confesses that she fell in love with the sound. His face twists into a severe expression and she’s taken aback. But then he coldly demands her to come to him.

She asks him hesitantly what he’s doing when he grabs her, but he muses on how, when he thinks about it, he might have been treating her too sweetly. She’s confused, especially when Kanato snarls out that she’s just his food and yet she’s irritating him so much. Yui doesn’t understand why his mood took a turn for the worse. Is it because she listened to him sing? She decides to ask him why he’s suddenly so angry.

Kanato snarls out shakily 「そんなの・・・っ、僕が知りたい!!」(I also… WANT TO KNOW WHY!!). Yui looks at him with wide eyes and he confesses angrily that whenever she is beside him, he becomes furious for no reason. He yells out that she makes him unsettled. Yui is shocked and doesn’t understand what he means, but Kanato takes in a few harsh breaths. She asks him hesitantly if something is wrong and if his health is bad.

He informs her calmly that he’s become thirsty. She blinks in surprise, but he approaches her and tells her that he wants to drink blood. She flinches in alarm but Kanato muses on how he hasn’t sucked her blood from this one spot. She tries to ask him to wait but he asks her if she knew that the smell of her blood is always wafting from her skin. She answers that she didn’t know. Kanato informs her that this is unusual among humans.

Kanato tells her that this must mean her blood is surely sweet and rich. She cringes and he smiles innocently as he notes that she’s trembling. He recalls that this is her first time getting her blood sucked. He whispers that he’ll give her a pain that she’ll remember and starts to suck at her skin. Yui cries out for him to stop because it hurts. But Kanato growls at her to be quiet because she’s noisy.

But she continues to cry at the pain. She begs him to stop because it hurts and yells his name. She can’t endure this! In her mind she’s chanting a litany of denial. Meanwhile Kanato sighs at how it can’t be helped but it seems like he’ll have to make her feel a bit better. Her eyes widen and he chuckles as he sucks at her skin lightly. She’s confused at how it had hurt so much a while ago, yet now it doesn’t.

Kanato sighs softly and continues to suck gently at her neck. Inwardly Yui protests at how her mind is feeling electrified. She can’t think about anything. Kanato confesses that he’s surprised. Her blood is really sweet to the point of bewitchment. He tells her with a smile that just knowing this taste once makes it so that it’d be absurd for him to drink any other blood from now on.

He tells her that her worth as prey has become top level and congratulates her. Yui stares at him blankly and he laughs at how her mind seems to have disappeared in her lack of happiness. Oh well, it’s more convenient for him when she’s quiet because he’s still thirsty. Her eyes widen but he whispers quietly that he’ll make her feel better.

Yui and Kanato are in the torture room and he informs her that tonight they are tending this place. She blinks in amazement at this room. He tells her flatly that it’s a torture room and she wonders why this house has this room below it. Kanato laughs softly and tells her this place has a nice smell. She admits that she finds it dusty, which makes Kanato ask her if she doesn’t know what this smell is.

He drops something in front of her and explains how the dried blood of who it cut last still clings onto it. Then he asks her again if it doesn’t have a nice smell. Her eyes widen and she asks if they’ve actually used these. Kanato informs her that it’s a tool that was made to be used, obviously

Yui starts to realize, with growing horror, that this room filled with unknown torture devices have all been used. Anyway, Kanato informs her that he’s counting on her. He points out that right now she’s a freeloader and so she should help out from time to time. He prepares to leave and she calls for him to wait. When he turns back with narrowed eyes and asks what she wants, she tells asks him to wait and not to leave.

He gives her a look of confusion and asks why. Yui confesses that she doesn’t want to be alone in this room. Kanato laughs softly and notes how she’s saying surprisingly adorable things. She tries to protest but he reassures her that she doesn’t need to be afraid. He has no plans to use these torture devices on her right now. Yui tries to tell him that isn’t the problem only to halt and realize that he indicated the present time.

Kanato nods and informs her that he’s talking about the present only. Yui feels a shiver and then her eyes widen as she touches a torture device. Kanato explains that it’s an iron maiden and asks her if she knows about it. She tells him that she didn’t know the name but she’s seen that Ayato has one in his room. Kanato repeats her words flatly, but Yui obliviously continues on to point out that Ayato has a bigger size.

His voice is dead as he notes that she saw it. Yui’s words trail off as she realizes what she just said. A slow smile appears as Kanato points out that she entered Ayato’s room. She denies it and explains that the door to Ayato’s room was open. And when she went to close the door she saw what was inside, it wasn’t like she entered it. Kanato screams at her to shut up. He snaps out that he doesn’t want that transparent lie.

She yells back that she isn’t lying but he snarls at her to shut up. In the next second he grabs and rips her clothing which makes her squeal out his name. He smiles coldly and informs her that he’ll teach her something good. Her eyes widen and he tells her that the next time she says Ayato or Laito’s name in front of him, he’ll kill her. Yui asks him why he would because aren’t they siblings? Does he really hate them that much?

Kanato calms down and takes a step back before telling her that he doesn’t dislike them. The three of them were born from the same womb. There’s no way he can hate them. Yui asks him if the other three aren’t the same. He informs her that only he, Ayato, and Laito have the same mother. The other three have different mothers. He laughs briefly as he tells her that they all have the same father but they have three mothers.

Isn’t it interesting? Yui repeats his words dimly. Kanato tilts his head and grins as he confesses that this is why he really loves Ayato and Laito. Yui asks him why she isn’t allowed to say their names then. Kanato answers that it’s because he loves them and then he asks Teddy if he agrees. It’s because he loves them so much that he is disgusted with them.

Kanato’s pupils are black and cold. Inside of him is something she can cannot possibly comprehend. She only knows that there is a complex pitch black darkness swirling around. She thinks Kanato is scary. Lately she has been wondering countless of times why she chose him. She doesn’t know when his mood will be wrecked or how she should go about fixing it. She’s never known this pain of being swung around and swinging around. She finds Kanato nothing but frightening.

Yui wonders what she should do since she’s been called to Kanato’s room. Why did he suddenly call for her? She’s never been in his room up until now, so she’s really nervous. She hopes he isn’t in a bad mood. She’s more scared of him than she ever was before after that time in the torture room. At any rate, she decides not to be careful not to talk about Laito or Ayato.

She breathes out nervously and then tells herself that she can’t continue to stand out here like this. It’s time to enter! She knocks on his door and introduces herself before entering. The moment she steps in she notices that it’s raining outside. She also sees him staring at her, but she manages to summon up a smile and tell him that she came. He tilts his head and smiles cutely as he notes in a slow voice that she came.

His appearance is giving off clear vibes of danger. She needs to get out of this room right now. Yui blurts out an apology and tells him that she’ll come back later. But Kanato asks her calmly where she’s going. She tries to stutter out an excuse, but he yells at her loudly not to leave as she pleases without his permission.

Yui yelps in pain and asks him not to drag her like that. But Kanato screams at her to shut up. He shoves her onto the bed and then asks her politely to let him suck her blood. She refuses, which makes him ask her why because wasn’t she enraptured by pleasure the last time? He smiles and tells her that today he’ll do it gently… and then he starts to suck on her.

She snaps out that she said no! Kanato’s eyebrows furrow and he asks why in a trembling voice. She tells him that it’s because he’s acting peculiar today. He asks her what she means by that and so she says that she can’t explain it well, but something is different about him from how he usually is. It’s as if he’s not seeing her and he’s seeing someone completely different; it’s that kind of feeling.

Kanato narrows his eyes and asks her if she’s saying that he’s seeing someone other than her. Yui tells him that she’s not sure but… Suddenly Kanato screams at her to not say careless things. His voice becomes teary as he says that he hates that and she’s trying to say that vague thing to run away, right? He cries out that she simply wants to throw him away because he’s worthless, right?

Yui asks him worriedly what he’s saying and then tells him that she didn’t say that at all! She didn’t mean that she was throwing him away! Kanato whispers that she’s lying, but she tells him seriously that she isn’t lying. She doesn’t think of him like that. He glares at her and asks her what she thinks of him then. When she hesitates to answer, he asks her「好き?嫌い?面倒くさい?死ねばいいって思ってる?」(Love? Hate? Annoying? I should just die?).

She hesitates some more and so then he tells her in a soft voice that he doesn’t need to ask for the answer to know. Her expression gives away what she’s thinking. He tells her that she thinks of him as a hindrance that can’t be helped, right? She thinks of him as unmanageable and someone she can’t understand at all, right? Yui tries to deny it but she finds that she can’t say that, because she doesn’t understand him.

She’s sure that he’ll immediately say she’s lying. Suddenly, Kanato smiles and tells her that it’s okay though. When she looks at him in surprise, he tells her that her feelings are inconsequential. After all, he doesn’t need a heart that changes immediately. She calls his name questioningly, but he only tells her that there’s a nostalgic smell. There’s a nostalgic smell underneath her skin that calls for him.

Yui yelps in pain when he bites down. Kanato starts to laugh as he asks her if something is wrong and this is really familiar. She yells at him to let her go because it hurts. He recalls that she likes it better when it feels good and so he starts to suck on her more. Yui gasps before begging him to stop, but he only continues to suck more while mumbling about how delicious it is. His voice is low as he tells her that he won’t let her run before he returns to her blood.

The moment his fangs stuck into her, it hurt… She will never be accustomed to the pain of having that foreign thing tear and push through her skin. But the moment after Kanato said that he’d make things feel good — all of a sudden everything changed; the pain of her wound being widened, the awful feeling of blood leaving her body. A pleasure flowed through her that made everything, even her eyes, disoriented and she knew nothing. She can’t run away. She’s caught by Kanato.

Kanato notes that lately she hasn’t seemed very energetic. Yui asks him if that’s true, to which he narrows his eyes and tells her that it is. In her mind she points out that it’s because he abuses her whenever his mood immediately becomes bad; but if she says this then it’ll surely be a disaster. It’s probably best to be silent in front of Kanato whenever possible.

However, Kanato points out that if she always has that depressed expression on her face then his mood will also sink. She apologizes, which makes him sigh and tell her that it can’t be helped. He’ll accompany her and convert her mood. He ends up taking her to see the view of a castle and Yui’s mouth drops open in astonishment. She didn’t know that the basement of their house connected to a place like this.

Where is this place? Is it a foreign country? It looks like vampires can teleport. She gasps at how big of a castle it is, but Kanato glares at her and asks her not to make such a disgraceful noise. Yui apologizes quickly before explaining that this is her first time seeing a castle. Then she asks him if this place is his family’s holiday house.

He shrugs and tells her that it doesn’t matter, which makes her apologize again. It doesn’t seem like he wants to talk. He frowns at her again and tells her not to continue standing there like an idiot. If she wants a tour then it’s over here. She nods while being taken aback by his attitude. Anyway, she’s lead into a garden and she gasps at the full bloomed roses. For once Kanato smiles and asks her rhetorically if it isn’t a splendid view.

Yui smiles brightly and agrees before saying that it’s amazing! Kanato points out that she hasn’t been saying anything but “amazing” since they came here. Can she not say anything else? She tries to think of something else to say, but Kanato laughs and tells her that Teddy is also astonished at the lack of her vocabulary. Yui smiles and tells him that there aren’t any other words for this place though.

Even though his mood had been dark continuously, she thinks that he’s a bit more cheered up after seeing the castle’s roses. She’s surprised because he’s always like that, but he also has a nice side like this. Suddenly, Kanato asks her if she’s become relaxed. Yui thanks him with a bright smile. He blinks in confusion and asks her what she is thanking him for.

She points out that he brought her here because he was concerned about her being depressed, right? He laughs at that and asks her how naive of a person she is. When she repeats the word “naive” in confusion, he tells her with a glare that there’s no way he would be concerned about her. He brought her here because stress causes one to lose one’s appetite. It’s no good if her blood becomes weak.

Then the blood that was so delicious would be spoiled. Yui clarifies that he brought her here to convert her mood because he doesn’t want her blood to be unappetizing…? Kanato tells her that she’s right and she winces because she had reconsidered her view of him and now she seems like an idiot. Kanato smirks and asks her if there’s something wrong. Is she crying? Her eyes are red.

Yui shuts her eyes and tries to deny that, but then she notices something. Kanato is confused by her sudden silence and asks her if something is the matter. She points out a beautiful rose and he narrows his eyes before asking her which one. She tells him that it’s that red one, which also looks black in the light. Kanato smiles as he sees it and then tells her that it’s appearance is more beautiful when bathed in blood.

She yelps out his name in worry when he plucks it because it’s covered by many thorns, yet he’s holding it by its stem. Kanato tells her to look at it and asks if it isn’t beautiful. She winces because the rose is dripping slowly with Kanato’s blood, but she whispers out that it’s beautiful. He giggles at that while Yui is horrified by what she just said, because a bloodstained rose can’t possibly be beautiful!

But then Kanato tells her politely to take it. Yui doesn’t want to though because she’s frightened of the rose and of Kanato. She becomes strange when she’s with him! Kanato asks her curiously what there is to dislike about it. He notices that her face is drawn in and asks if she’s scared, when she was the one who said it was pretty. Is she that discontent with a gift?

She blurts out that she’s not unhappy, it’s that she’s scared of him! He sighs before he suddenly asks her, in a fit of realization, if she’s scared of losing sight of herself because of how much she enjoys him sucking her blood? Yui tries to deny that, but Kanato realizes that human women get angry at receiving pleasure before getting a kiss.

Yui finds herself confused while Kanato complains about how troublesome this is. She tries to ask him what he’s talking about, but he leans in and kisses her. Inwardly Yui screeches in surprise. Meanwhile, Kanato tells her softly that with this she won’t be scared of him anymore, right? He chuckles.

Surrounded by roses and having a first kiss; this is the dream-like situation that girls yearn for. But she cried tears of confusion and fear. The choking scent of roses mixed weakly with the smell of Kanato’s blood. She felt dizzy. A normal person would definitely not have a kiss like this. Kanato doesn’t understand a person’s feelings.

Yui stretches as she wakes up, but she notices that her room is bright. Is it still the afternoon…? She still has a lot of time before school and it’s unusual for her to wake up so early. She decides to sleep again, but then she notices something. Kanato is breathing peacefully beside her and she gasps out his name in shock. But he continues to stay asleep.

Meanwhile, Yui is blushing as she wonders why Kanato is sleeping in her bed. Plus, her clothes and Kanato’s clothes are a bit disheveled. Why?! She wakes him up by calling his name again and then asks him why he’s here. His room isn’t this one! Kanato mumbles out that trivial things like this are annoying. She blurts out that this isn’t trivial! But he grumbles at how it’s still daytime and asks her to let him sleep.

She gapes at him when he flops back down before yelling at him to wake up with a blush. But he’s fallen asleep again. She tries to say his name again, but there’s no response and so she sighs. How can he sleep so easily in this situation? She’s completely woken up. As he breathes in and out beside her, she can’t help but notice how quiet he is when he’s sleeping.

When she looks at him like this, she can’t see how much of a moody person he usually is. She suddenly scolds herself because this isn’t the time to stare at him! Whatever the circumstances may be, she can’t remain here like this together on her bed. She wants to think that her clothes became disheveled from her sleeping posture. Anyway, she apologizes quietly for stepping over him.

But then she pauses because it felt like she kicked something off… Suddenly, Kanato springs up and yells out Teddy’s name. Yui screams in surprise, but he angrily tells her to get out of the way and to return Teddy. She realizes that she kicked Teddy! Kanato starts to cry as he calls her cruel and asks her why she would do such a thing.

Yui hurriedly apologizes, but he screams at her that even if she apologizes he won’t forgive her! He screams out 「テディの足下にも及ばない虫けらの分際で・・・っ!よくもテディを・・・!!」(You, a worm whose social standing doesn’t even reach Teddy’s feet…! How dare you… to Teddy..!!). Yui flinches and then tells him to stop swinging Teddy around. It’s dangerous!

But he just screams at her to shut up over and over again. She apologizes again and promises to be more careful next time. He yells out that she’s a liar! She knew how much he treasures Teddy and so she kicked him on purpose! He won’t forgive her! He won’t forgive her!! Why is she still here in front of him!?

Then he screeches out 「消えてよ、今すぐ消えて!テディを僕から取り上げるヤツなんて全員死ねばいいんだ・・・!!」(Disappear, DISAPPEAR NOW! Everyone who took Teddy away from me SHOULD JUST DIE…!!). Yui’s eyes widen at his words and she tries to ask him what he’s talking about. She didn’t try to take Teddy away! Kanato abruptly stops his tantrum and stares at her with wide eyes.

Yui apologizes sincerely and then tells him that he can stop treating Teddy so roughly now… Kanato starts to cry and she apologizes again. But then he sobs out that if, next time, she does it again he really won’t forgive her. She nods and then suggests that he calm down before she apologizes again and runs out of the room. Kanato tearfully whispers Teddy’s name.

Because she couldn’t endure any more of this, she ran away from Kanato. She thinks that she’s at fault for kicking Teddy, but he didn’t have to be so angry… That feeling turned around and around and surrounded her heart. At any rate, she needs to pay more meticulous care to her treatment of Teddy. Running down the long corridor, she clenched her eyes shut to block and deceive herself of her running tears.

Epilogue

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

Yui is running through the forest at night and in the rain. She calls out Kanato’s name, but there’s no response and so she wonders if he’s not here. He wasn’t in the house and his shoes weren’t there, so she went outside to look for him. It’s a downpour out here and he didn’t take an umbrella… What will he do if he catches a cold?

Then she realizes that she doesn’t even know if vampires can catch colds. She decides to ignore that question and search for him a bit longer. She calls out his name again as she continues running. Yui finally finds him standing in the rain and she tells him that she was searching for him! What is he doing getting all soaked like this. Her words stop abruptly when she realizes that he’s staring at her.

Finally, he mumbles out her name. Yui is shocked to see blood on his arm, but he only smiles. One of his arms is dripping blood. Is he injured…!? She hurriedly tells him that she brought an umbrella and urges him to hold it, but Kanato refuses it. She protests though and points out that it’ll be a problem if he becomes even more soaked. Plus, she also wants to know about that blood.

She asks to see his arm and tries to touch it, but suddenly Kanato snarls at her to stop. He continues on more calmly to ask her to leave him alone. It is only a small injury when he caught himself on a branch. Yui thinks that it still needs to be treated and so she requests to see it. He snaps out that she’s irritating, and she flinches at his harsh voice. Then he tells her that this injury will close up soon for him. There’s no need to be treated.

But Yui persists and points out that it looks very painful. He replies that it has nothing to do with her, which she reluctantly admits. However, she doesn’t think he should leave the injury until it closes. Kanato asks her politely, but coldly, not to push her opinions on him. It’s bothersome. She tries to protest to that, but then he interrupts and asks her why she came here to search for him.

After he did those things to her, she still wants to be by his side? Yui pauses and her heart beats loudly. Why DID she go out of her way to search for him? Even though he’s said that he won’t let her run away many times, if she actually thought about running away she might have a chance of doing it. And so… why…? Kanato asks her if it was a mere whim, or if she simply has a meddling nature like an idiot.

Yui frowns and tells him that he’s wrong, to which he smiles questioningly. She confesses that for some reason she just can’t leave him alone, which makes him narrow his eyes. But inwardly Yui realizes that it’s true; for some reason she simply can’t leave him alone. Even though he only does cruel things to her… why is that? Kanato points out that in the end she’s being meddlesome, isn’t she?

She thinks that it’s different, although if she were to be asked she wouldn’t be able to explain the difference. But she can’t leave him alone when he’s like this. Kanato asks her calmly what she would do if he did this then… As her eyes widen, he smiles slowly and reminds her that she wants to be by his side since she can’t leave him alone, right? In that case, he wants her to drink this.

Yui flinches when she sees him present to her the arm that’s bleeding. He asks her if she won’t drink it. Yui stutters out that she won’t drink it because she’s not a vampire. Kanato informs her that he already said that if she wanted to stay by his side then she will drink this. She shuts her eyes tightly because what will happen if a human drinks a vampire’s blood…?

Kanato’s voice becomes shaky as he asks again if she won’t drink it. When she stutters out an apology his voice drops flat as he tells her that she’s a real idiot for approaching him without a resolution. Yui’s eyes widen as Kanato tells her lowly that if she’s going to be like that… then he’ll give her this.

He tears her clothes and she yelps out a protest, but he only laughs and tells her that she doesn’t not want this. She closes her eyes as he grins and tells her that he’s decided to make her a slave to pleasure. He’ll make it so that she can’t exist without him. Yui gasps as he bites down and sucks on her blood.

As her body is entrusted to the pleasure that stains her mind pure-white, why does she feel like crying? Even though he only does things like this to her, she can’t leave Kanato alone. She even thinks of wanting to know more about him and wanting to save him. What is wrong with her? What kind of darkness is that heart carrying? Is there anything that she can do…?

Prologue

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

Flashback! In the tunnels, Kanato is singing Scarborough Fair 「Are you going to・・・rosemary & thyme・・・」. Meanwhile, Cordelia is moaning in the background and Richter groans out her name. Kanato continues to sing 「a true love of mine・・・」. Cordelia encourages Richter not to hold back and calls him her beloved one. Suddenly Kanato stops singing to giggle and ask Teddy if he’s hungry.

Richter pauses and asks Coredlia if it is alright with that child there. Cordelia laughs and reassures him that it’s fine, because Kanato will love her no matter what. Her voice becomes a croon as she points out that Kanato wants to be here, right? Because he loves her, right? But Kanato is talking to Teddy and tells him that there are candies. What kind of flavor does he like? Kanato tells Teddy that he likes the apple one.

Richter notes in amusement that the child doesn’t seem to be listening. Cordelia tells him that Kanato’s specialty is in playing alone. There’s no need to be concerned about him. Then she smiles and tells him seductively that more importantly they should continue before “that person” returns. Richter obeys her wish and calls her his beloved one as well.

Meanwhile Kanato says 「・・・どうしてすきなの、って?りんごは罪のあかしだからね。」(… Why do I like it? Because apples are the symbol of sin). He thinks that every living thing and everyone tastes like apples. Then he continues singing 「Or you’ll never be a true love of mine・・・」.

Back in the present, Yui is calling Kanato’s name in the classroom and she asks him exasperatedly if he’s listening. Kanato’s eyes widen as he jolts back into the present. Yui asks him if something is wrong. Everyone went home a long time ago and didn’t he hear the chime? But he asks slowly where this place is.

She tilts her head in confusion and asks him if he fell asleep, but Kanato replies that he wasn’t. He was only spacing out for a bit. She asks him seriously if he’s telling the truth and if he isn’t feeling sick somewhere. Kanato narrows his eyes and tells her that he already said he simply spaced out. He would like her to stop asking useless questions. Yui apologizes and Kanato smiles as he suggests that they return home.

But as he stands up from his desk he pauses at the presence of a sweet smell. She tells him that the last block had cooking practice just for girls, and then she smiles brightly and offers some apple pie that she made. Would he like to eat some? His eyes widen as he murmurs the word “apple”. Yui nods and then asks cautiously if he dislikes apples.

But Kanato chuckles and answers in a soft voice that he loves them. She smiles back in relief. And then Kanato informs her that apples resemble her blood a lot; both are a poisonous red that tempts him and their chokingly sweet scent intoxicates him. In addition, both are stained with the flavor of syrupy sin. Yui stares at him with wide eyes, and then he asks her to let him eat some.

Yui stutters and hesitates, which makes him glare at her as he tells her to be quick. She nods quickly and then blushes as she picks up some pie and asks him to open his mouth for her. He opens his mouth and bites down on the pie and her finger, which makes her yelp in pain. He giggles at how the blood is flowing out and then he murmurs that, as he thought, it has the same taste as apples.

She says his name weakly and he laughs softly before asking her if it hurts… or if it feels good. He tells her that her blood is pleased. It’s calling for him to suck it more and bring it pleasure. Kanato tells her with a cute smile that tonight he’ll suck on her blood amply.

In her room, Yui notices that the day is coming to an end. It’s almost time to go to school and so she decides to get changed. Kanato still seems to be asleep and she debates on waking him up, but suddenly he bursts through her door yelling her name. She screams in surprise as he asks her where she placed Teddy. She gives him a confused look at this, but he starts to cry as he asks her loudly if she hid him and where she did.

He wants Teddy to be returned!! But Yui tells him to wait and then asks him if Teddy went anywhere. This only makes Kanato scream at her not to play dumb, because she’s the one who did it! She snaps back that it wasn’t her and why would she do such a thing? He yells back that it’s because she hates him and that’s why she’d bully him like this. He knows!!

She tells him that he’s wrong and asks him to calm down, but he starts to hyperventilate and scream out 「いいから、早く返して!テディがいないと・・・あれがないと、僕は・・・っ!!」(WHATEVER, JUST RETURN HIM! If Teddy isn’t there… if I don’t have that.. I’ll…!!). Yui is startled by how peculiar his appearance is and wonders what is wrong with him.

Kanato starts to cry and sob out Teddy’s name, which makes her realize that she should soothe him first. She pets his head and tells him to calm down, but he glares at her and asks her in a teary voice what she’s doing. Yui startles a bit and apologizes in a stutter. In her mind she thinks that when she saw him crying like that, she just wanted to pet his head.

But if she says that he’ll be angry… Kanato suddenly smiles coldly and tells her what she intended by touching his hair without his permission. Yui apologizes deeply at that and promises that she won’t do it again, but he suddenly screams at her to shut up. Obviously he can’t believe in her words when she’s the one who hid Teddy!

This makes Yui wince as she realizes that she might have just made things worse. Once again Kanato yells at her to hurry up and return Teddy. Where did she hide it!? And once again Yui tells him that she wasn’t the one! Kanato yells at her not to lie, because he knows that she hates him. She denies lying and also adds that she doesn’t hate him, which actually makes his eyes widen.

Then she tells him firmly that, firstly, she wouldn’t do anything to someone that she wouldn’t want done onto her. He replies in a shaky voice that he doesn’t believe that, and so she shows him the rosary that her father gave her. He narrows his eyes and asks her what this is supposed to be. She answers with a smile that she treasures this rosary, almost like how he treasures Teddy.

That’s why when she thinks about this disappearing, she’d be in pain. She wouldn’t wish for him to feel that way. His eyes widen again, but he tells her without emotion not to put that thing in the same category as Teddy. Yui stutters out another apology. He asks slowly if her heart relies on the support of that rosary. She nods before realizing that it might not be something that he, as a vampire, is pleased with.

But as long as this rosary is with her, she feels like her father and God are with her. He narrows his eyes at that and Yui is relieved that he seems to have calmed down. Finally, he steps away from her and asks her if she will help him search for Teddy. When she looks surprised, he explains that he wants proof of the fact that she’s not the person who caused Teddy’s disappearance.

His voice starts to crack as he asks her to find Teddy. Yui looks at him seriously and promises to find Teddy no matter what. He laughs shakily and then tells her that it’s a promise. She’s a bit alarmed by how abruptly the atmosphere around him has… Kanato tells her lowly that if she breaks her promise then he’ll tear her into pieces. She stutters out his name, but he only smiles slowly and asks her if it’s a promise.

She hesitates on answering and then someone knocks on the door. It turns out to be Reiji who excuses himself as he enters. Yui’s eyes widen upon seeing him, but Reiji smiles at finding Kanato who he thought would be here. Kanato narrows his eyes and asks him what business he has with him. Reiji asks him politely not to glare at him as if he were an intrusion; he only came here to deliver this.

Yui smiles brightly when she realizes what it is and Kanato yells out Teddy’s name in relief. She’s glad that he’s so happy now that he finally has Teddy. But then Kanato suddenly asks dangerously if Reiji was the one who hid Teddy. Reiji answers that Kanato is mistaken. He was cleaning the living room when, by coincidence, he discovered Teddy beneath the sofa.

This makes Yui ask curiously why it was there. Reiji smirks and replies that he wouldn’t know, but most likely someone like Ayato hid it to bully Kanato. Kanato agrees with this because he can smell Ayato’s scent on Teddy. Reiji replies formally that it is wonderful this misunderstanding has been cleared and then he suggests that they get changed soon. It’s almost time for them to go to school. He then excuses himself politely.

After he exits the room, Kanato smiles happily and welcomes Teddy back home. Yui smiles brightly and asks him if he isn’t glad, which makes him admit that he is glad that he won’t have to tear her apart with this. She freezes in shock as he narrows his eyes and murmurs that the person who is to be torn apart is Ayato. She asks him hesitantly if he’s joking, but he only laughs lowly.

Yui can’t believe that he’s serious. But then Kanato informs her that he will return to his room now, since they need to get changed. She nods shakily and he smiles as he promises to see her later. She can only return that promise weakly and as he leaves she thinks about him saying that he’d tear apart Ayato… they’re siblings though. It has to be… a joke, right?

On the balcony someone is singing Scarborough Fair and Yui recognizes the singing voice to be Kanato’s. He stops singing as he sees her and smiles before commenting on the nice night. Her eyes widen when she catches sight of where he’s sitting though and asks him why he’s there. It’s dangerous! He’s sitting on the handrail which is just barely safe.

Kanato reassures her loudly that he’s fine, but Yui tells him in a worried voice not to swing his legs like that. It’s dangerous! He only giggles and asks her if she knows that vampires like them can fly on nights of the full moon. Her eyes widen as she asks him if that’s true, to which he nods and reassures her once again that this is why he’ll be fine even if he falls.

But then Yui realizes abruptly that tonight isn’t a full moon, so what is he saying?! Kanato only laughs and agrees. Once again she calls out that it’s dangerous, especially when he swings his legs with so much force. He’s going to fall! He comments on how her expression of fear mixed with uneasiness is very cute. As her eyes widen, he also adds that he actually greatly hates that look on her face.

It makes him wonder why she’s so scared of him and causes him to feel unhappy. She denies that and tells him that she’s scared of him falling. He laughs again and reassures her that he knows, which is why it’s cute. It’s amusing to think of a human being concerned about the body of a vampire. In any case, it looks like she doesn’t understand how conceited she’s being. It’s so foolish and stupid… and it’s the kind of cute that makes him laugh.

Yui asks him if she can’t worry about him. He tilts his head and replies without emotion that it isn’t necessary to him. She tries to protest, so then he asks her if she wants him down from here that badly. She nods warily and he smiles before telling her to kiss him then. Yui turns bright red, but Kanato only repeats with a cute smile that if she kisses him then he’ll come down.

She asks him why he’s asking for a kiss, but he only tells her that if she doesn’t want to then she should hurry up and disappear and leave him alone. Yui stares at him before telling him determinedly that she understands and she takes a step closer to him. Kanato’s eyes widen before he asks her in amusement if she really is going to kiss him. She replies that she will if it makes him come down from there.

In her mind she also thinks about how it’s no longer her first anyway. She should be okay with this… Kanato laughs and comments on how the value of her lips amount only to that then. She replies that if her kiss can buy his safety then it’s nothing to her. His eyes widen at that as he ponders her words. Anyway, she finally reaches him though and so she asks him to close his eyes.

But Kanato refuses because he’s very interested in seeing what kind of expression she has as she kisses him. He wants to see it from beginning to end. Yui is powerless to do anything but nod at that. In her mind she pep talks herself about how she should be fine and it’s nothing… just a kiss from her. She closes her eyes and gives him a quick peck before asking him how that was.

He only laughs though which makes her ask him worriedly if something is the matter. Finally, he comments in amusement that she actually did it and she is, as he thought, an irredeemable idiot. But as promised he will come down from there. Kanato tells her goodbye and she gasps before yelling his name out when he drops off outside rather than inside onto the balcony.

She yells out his name again before hurriedly thinking that she needs to go outside and find him. She also has to call the ambulance! Yui dashes through the house and runs down the front hall to open the door outside; only she finds Kanato standing there. He tells her angrily that she’s being annoying and her footsteps could be heard from the outside. She’s stunned though and can only stutter out Kanato’s name.

Kanato asks her with annoyance what she wants and so she asks him in shock where his wounds are. She saw him fall just a while ago! He points out that he fell from the second floor at most and so what did she think would happen to him? She tries to stutter something out, but he muses out loud that it would have been peaceful to die from a fall. She asks him hesitantly if he had wanted to die.

He smiles slowly and tells her that he did. Yui asks him loudly why he would want that, but he only tells her that such a thing is inconsequential. She yells out that it’s not good. Kanato only smiles again though and tells her that even if he said he wanted to die, it wouldn’t be in this moment. She repeats his words in confusion and so he answers that he wants to die when every existence that he loves is killed.

She looks at him in confusion and so he elaborates that he wants to die covered in the blood of all the people he loves. Her eyes widen in horror as Kanato reassures her in a low voice that she can relax because he won’t die yet. Yui wonders why Kanato, from time to time, smiles with such cold eyes that they induce shivers.

Yui is wandering around in the halls because a teacher told her to fetch the materials needed for the class, but she realizes that it would have been better if she asked for the location of the materials. She wonders if it’s in this direction, but suddenly Laito appears and calls out to her questioningly, calling her “bitch-chan”. Yui blinks in surprise and greets him, but then he grins and asks her what she is doing.

Is she waiting to be assaulted by standing in a hall with no one else around? If that’s the case, he’ll happily answer that hope of hers. She glares at him and tells him that he’s wrong; she’s searching for the materials that her teacher told her about. Laito tilts his head and tells her that this is a coincidence because he happens to have some business in that room. She smiles at this and asks him if she can go together with him then, if he doesn’t mind.

Laito tells her with a grin that he doesn’t mind and then gestures for her to follow him. She thanks him with a relieved smile because she managed to prevent herself from becoming lost in the school. But then Laito comments on how she’s a dim-witted person, isn’t she? When she looks at him in confusion, he asks her if she didn’t think about what would happen if Kanato saw her walking together with Laito like this.

She starts to stutter but Laito reassures her that he was joking and it should be alright since Kanato must be in the classroom. She nods hesitantly and he snickers at how she’s a liar, because her expression reveals that she hadn’t thought about that at all. He points out that some time has passed since she came to them and she should understand Kanato’s temperament by now.

He asks her curiously if her heart is fickle because she hasn’t completely become Kanato’s. She repeats the word “completely” in confusion and so Laito explains that Kanato has been drinking her blood, but her body is still pure. She turns bright red and splutters at that, but he just snickers and tells her with a smirk that he can tell from her scent. Yui is shocked that such a thing can be known from a scent.

Laito looks pleased as he notes out loud that she’s becoming nervous. He can smell the scent of her sweat. Inwardly she freaks out at this, but then footsteps can be heard. Laito blinks and comments on how this was faster than he thought. Yui looks at him in confusion and so he gestures with his hand to the side and Kanato appears with a cold expression. She gasps out his name as Laito snickers and points out that Kanato’s mood seems to be in a perfectly bad form.

Kanato doesn’t respond though and only glares harder before walking up to Yui. She’s surprised by how he really is in a terrible mood and then she yelps in pain when he grabs her by the arm and tells her lowly that they’re leaving. Laito tsks and tells Kanato to stop it since he’s hurting bitch-chan. Kanato replies that it’s none of Laito’s business. Yui winces in pain because Kanato’s gripping her wrist with a lot of strength.

Laito cheerily agrees that it does seem like that, which makes Kanato narrow his eyes and tell him not to open his mouth then. Once again he tells Yui to leave with him and he starts to drag her away, although she tries to tell him to wait because she has business in the reference room. His voice is cold and low when he tells her to be silent. She shuts her eyes at the pain and it feels like her bones are breaking.

Suddenly Laito chuckles and asks Kanato if he would like one advice, which Kanato refuses angrily. Laito tells him not to say that without hearing it. The smile on his face disappears as he whispers that if Kanato continues to dawdle then she’ll be snatched away. Kanato’s breath catches while Yui is confused since she didn’t catch what Laito said. But then Laito grins and tells them that he, the intruder, is going to disappear now.

He tells Yui that he’ll see her later and to work hard to pacify Kanato. Anyway, Kanato drags Yui all the way to the staircases where she pleads with him to release her because his hand hurts. But Kanato yells at her to shut up and starts to breathe heavily. She says his name worriedly and then tries to reassure him that she didn’t do anything with Laito.

But Kanato narrows his eyes and asks her not to say another man’s name. She flinches and then he says 「・・いつも、いつも・・そうだ。見るたびに違う男をつれて・・・君は・・・っ。」(… It’s always… and always.. like that. Every time I see you, you’re… with another man…). She protests and tells him that she’s not intending on that! They only met by coincidence! He snarls out that he can’t believe that. He doesn’t believe it!

She snaps out his name, but he only asks her loudly who, exactly, she belongs to. Her eyes widen as she realizes that she can’t give him the wrong answer when he’s in this state; and so she can only stutter out that she belongs to him. He asks her quietly if that’s true and she nods. Kanato starts to smile as he repeats in a dazed voice 「ユイさんは・・・僕のもの・・・」(Yui-san is… mine…).

Then he asks why she won’t become what he wants if she belongs to him. He raises his voice angrily as he asks her why she resists him then! She tries to deny it but he yells out that she is and that’s why she was together with Laito without a problem. She belongs to him and yet it doesn’t seem like she has enough awareness of that. That is why he’ll teach her this lesson.

Kanato whispers in her left ear that he’ll teach her body fully who she belongs to. As he licks her ear, she asks him with alarm to wait, because they can’t be doing it here…!? He replies that the location shouldn’t matter and starts to strip her of her ribbon. Yui turns red and blurts out that people might pass by, but Kanato only smiles and says that it’s even better if they are seen. Then he tells her to look at that mirror over there.

Yui can see the reflection of her and Kanato in the full-length mirror. She gasps in surprise when he switches over to suck on her right side and Kanato chuckles before telling her to look at herself in the mirror. It’s a good opportunity for her to see what dirty expressions she normally makes when she’s in his arms. In her mind she doesn’t want to, but Kanato continues to assault her neck as he points out how the Yui in the mirror can only be seen to belong to him.

She doesn’t want to believe it, but he whispers that she’s cute. He asks her to make enough noises so as to resound through the school like this and then he bites down, making her gasp. She continues to shout out in her mind that it’s all a lie! She prays to God and wonders what she’s becoming.

It’s after school and Yui entered the library by chance after she found it. It’s quiet here and there’s no one. There’s also no one passing through the halls and so she’s making progress on her studies. She decides to study for a while here before returns home since there’s a test soon. But the door opens and Kanato appears to remark on how this is where she was.

She says his name in surprise and he smiles before asking if she’s self-studying. She nods before hesitantly asking why he’s here. He narrows his eyes and points out that it isn’t necessary for him to give her a reason for every one of his actions. Yui can only agree that he’s right, but then he laughs and tells her that if she’s curious at any cost then he can tell her.

Yui admits slowly that she is curious and thinks in her mind that if she didn’t say that, his mood probably would have became worse. Kanato tilts his head and tells her that he’ll answer since she said that. There’s still time before the car arrives to take them back home and so he has free time. Would she like to play? Yui blinks in surprise but apologizes because she’s studying right now and so playing is a little…

Kanato responds with 「・・・はい?」(… Yes?). Yui repeats herself and tells him that she’s sorry, but if she doesn’t study now it’ll be bad. He narrows his eyes and then asks Teddy softly if he heard what was said just now. He didn’t think it would happen, but did this girl refuse his invitation?

Yui abruptly realizes that the atmosphere around him has… What should she do!? His voice becomes shaky as he points out to Teddy that she even wanted to know the reason and he told her, yet she gives him that attitude. How mean, right?

Kanato nods his head 「・・・うん、うん。そっか。やっぱりテディもそう思うよね。それじゃ、お仕置きしちゃおうか?」(… Yes, yes. I see. As I thought, Teddy thought the same thing, huh. In that case, shall I deliver a punishment?). Yui gasps out the word “punishment”, but Kanato only giggles and asks Teddy if he’ll help. It seems like he will and so Kanato smiles and tells him they’re starting.

He tells Yui to prepare herself in a cold and flat voice. She asks him with a stutter what he’s doing, but then he recites「ディこ・クエィスト・バズ・マ・アビタ・ネラアニマ・デラ・マジア。」(Dico questo Bazu ma abita nell’anima della magia) Edit: you don't have to add in a sentence asking if it's italian when you can just google it, educate yourself before editing a wiki. </em)

Kanato smiles and calls for Teddy to play together with them and Yui gasps in alarm when she sees Teddy move. He made it so that Teddy is possessed by a sex maniac, and with this both of them can be her opponents. Isn’t she happy? Yui repeats the word “opponent” in confusion, but Kanato only smiles gently and tells Teddy to pin her down. She yelps at them to stop when she finds her arms pinned by Teddy and she can’t move.

No emojis in this wiki please. Kanato laughs loudly and remarks on how this is his first time seeing a woman be restrained by a stuffed toy. It’s a laughable and interesting sight. Yui struggles and then asks Kanato to tell Teddy to release her, but he refuses and tells her that it’s annoying when she struggles which is why Teddy is pinning her down.

She yells out that she doesn’t understand and asks him what he’s trying to do, and so Kanato reminds her that he’s giving her a punishment. She freaks out when she sees him take out a knife. He warns her to stay still since she doesn’t want to spill her blood needlessly, right? He also thinks it’ll hurt enough already anyway. She yells at him not to come any closer when he takes a step. She realizes that she has to break away from Teddy somehow or other.

And so she struggles, but Kanato only chuckles and asks her what she’s doing. In her mind, she can’t believe that she didn’t move Teddy one inch. Why!? Kanato muses out loud on how 「無駄な抵抗をする人間を見るのは好きですよ。とてもいじらしくて、僕よりも可哀想に見えるから。」(I like watching humans struggle futilely. It’s so very sweet, because I can see them being more pathetic than myself).

Yui realizes that Kanato thinks of himself as pathetic. But then Kanato reminds her that he told her to stay still, and yet she struggled magnificently. So now he’ll deliver the punishment for that. He brings the knife down and Yui screams at the pain of her thighs being sliced. Kanato frowns and remarks on how strange it is, because it’s a shallower wound than he thought.

Then he smiles and promises to make the next one more painful. She struggles at that and asks him to release her, but Kanato glares and asks if she still doesn’t understand that it’s futile no matter how much she struggles. He slices her again and she screams out. This time it was her arm and even her uniform has been cut. He notes that the power of his slashes are reduced by half when they go through her clothing. This makes it boring.

He smiles when he realizes that he should first tear up her clothing then, huh. Yui’s eyes widen and she whimpers when he starts to slice her clothing to pieces. She’s scared! Kanato laughs happily and asks her why she’s crying. He’s starting to feel really good. He murmurs 「素肌に血が滲んで・・・まるで物語に出てくる生贄のようです。」(Your naked body oozing with blood… It’s like one of those sacrifices in stories).

She gasps out weakly that it hurts. Her entire body is covered in wounds and there’s a lot of blood. Kanato sounds pleased as he tells her that she can’t wear this uniform any longer since it’s in shreds. He swings the knife again and then admits that he’s lost on where to start tasting her. Where would she like him to start? Maybe her neck? Yui yelps out that it hurts and Kanato laughs quietly before telling her that it’s obvious.

He starts to suck on her neck as he asks her to please feel a lot of pain. She can only close her eyes because the opened wound is stinging. It hurts to be licked! It’s completely different from how it usually feels to have her blood sucked. Kanato moans about how delicious her blood is and her blood is the finest quality of feed. Yui whimpers out that it hurts.

This only makes him remind her that she’s usually enraptured by how good it feels for him to suck her blood. She doesn’t feel that way today? She yells out that it hurts and tells him to stop, but he only murmurs in a low rumble that she’s just lying about the pain. She winces in pain, especially when she feels his tongue probing at the wound.

Kanato tells her to feel good like she usually does. When Yui looks confused, he points out that it feels good, doesn’t it? And even if it’s pain, she’s so debauched that she treats pain like she does pleasure, right? She tries to ask him what he’s talking about, but he only tells her to hurry up and say that she feels good. She whimpers out that it hurts, but this makes Kanato snarl at her to hurry up. She flinches and then stutters out that it feels good.

He giggles sweetly at how she’s saying that it feels good even when it’s something like this. Then he tells her that she’s really a person who can’t be helped. He starts to lay gentle kisses on her. But this only makes her more confused because he did such cruel things to her, and yet why are his kisses so kind?

The school chime has rung and both of them are standing in the hall when Kanato suggests that they return home now. But Yui apologizes because they can’t return home together today. Kanato tilts his head and asks her if she’s being unfaithful? She turns red at that and asks him loudly why he’d say that! In her mind she yells out that first of all they aren’t even going out!

Kanato asks her calmly why she’s turning red, because he was joking. Yui can’t believe that even he can tell jokes and she says this out loud.  Anyway, he narrows his eyes and asks her why she can’t return home. She answers that she’s running out of the notes that she likes and so she intends to go and buy more.

He asks her if she intends to do that at this time, which makes her point out that there is a large 24 hour general store in front of the station and it looks like her notes are sold there. Kanato decides that he’ll come along too then. Her eyes widen and she asks him if he really wants to, but he only asks her if she’s mistaking something. It just so happens that he has something he wants to buy too and so he’s going there.

It’s not as if he’s going there because she’s going there. Yui nods hesitantly and then he suggests that they depart immediately then. She agrees with a large smile and realizes that this is the first time she’s been to a place with Kanato and a lot of people, apart from school. For some reason she’s looking forward to it!

Anyway, as they walk through the commercial district, Yui is taken aback by how many people there are even though it’s so late. Unfortunately, beside her Kanato is gritting his teeth. She realizes that he must hate crowds. It’s very easy to understand that his mood has become awful… what should she do? She decides to throw a topic out there and asks him about what kind of errand he has at the general store.

He smiles and replies that it’s almost Teddy’s birthday and so he was going to look at teddy bear clothes. She becomes excited at the prospect of giving Teddy a present and admits that she wants to choose one too! He narrows his eyes though and tells her flatly that he has no feelings whatsoever of asking for her opinion on what to choose for a present. But then he smiles and tells her lightly that he doesn’t mind if she’s only going to look though.

Yui nods her head shakily at that and thanks him. She’s relieved at how it seems like his mood has slightly recovered after smiling. Suddenly they’re interrupted by a man who bumps into Kanato. The man apologizes and then excuses himself because he’s in a hurry. As he runs off Kanato snarls, which makes Yui ask him if he’s alright. Did it hurt when he got bumped into? His face is completely pale…

He growls out Teddy’s name and she finally realizes in shock that Teddy was dropped. Kanato spits out through gritted teeth that that men made Teddy drop to the ground… the dirty ground. She quickly reassures him that it’s all fine and Teddy isn’t dirty at all! She picks Teddy up and pats it clean and shows Kanato that he’s fine after being patted down and he was only dusty.

Kanato murmurs that he’ll kill him, but Yui doesn’t catch that and so she makes a questioning noise. He repeats in a snarl that he’ll kill that man! As retribution for doing that to Teddy he should atone with his death! Yui yells out hurriedly that he can’t! What is he saying!? He can’t do that! She grips onto his arm desperately, but he snaps at her to release him because he needs to chase after that man!

She repeats again that he can’t and so Kanato asks her lowly why he cannot. She’s confused at his question and then points out slowly that he can’t just kill someone… But Kanato only says lowly that the man made his Teddy fall. His voice is a growl as he asks her if she knows that man and did this to Teddy on purpose to bully him.

Yui denies that completely, but he screams out that he can only think that. After all, she’s defending the man instead of Teddy and he absolutely won’t forgive that!! She blushes in mortification and asks him to calm down because people are watching them. He yells at her to shut up and then asks her why she said that, because it’s her fault for taking him along to this place! And that’s why Teddy was…!!

She opens her mouth to protest at that because she wasn’t the one who brought him along. But Kanato only sobs out that he won’t forgive this… he won’t forgive this… he’ll kill him!! Then she overhears one of the civilians commenting on how it’s a bit troubling hearing about how that kid is going to kill someone. Another one asks if they should call the police. If this gets any more tense then it’ll be troublesome!

Kanato sobs out that he’ll kill that man… her… and all these irritating people here… and everything! He tells her in a teary voice 「魂ごと塵になるまで切り刻んで、無に帰してやるんだ・・・」(I’ll chop you up until your souls become dust and return them to nothingness…). Suddenly Yui asks him to wait and then apologizes before telling him that she was at fault.

He cries out that she’s at fault because she was the one who took him to this place.. and that’s why he… She closes her eyes and agrees that she’s at fault. Once again she apologizes and then tells him that as an apology she’ll let him suck her blood when they return home. That’s why they should return home for today. He asks her in a teary voice if that is all she’s going to do for an apology.

She asks him warily if he wants anything else. He sniffles and then answers that he wants sweets. She asks him what he wants to eat and he answers that he wants to eat her apple pie. He wants her to bake one. Yui is surprised but tells him that if he wants that then she’ll make it. He pouts and adds that of course he’ll also be drinking her blood.

Yui looks at him seriously and nods her head. He instantly grins and tells her that it’s a promise! She nods again quietly and then wonders how it came to this when she didn’t do anything bad. At least she thinks she didn’t. However, she feels happy just from the fact that his mood has improved. But… why is that?

At school, Yui enters the infirmary and explains that she feels bad and so she’d like to borrow a bed to rest on for a bit. But then she realizes that no one is in here. It looks like the teacher went out somewhere. In that case, it looks like she’ll have to borrow a bed on her own accord. She winces at her headache and thinks that it might be anemia. Lately, she’s been excessively dizzy and it might be because she doesn’t have enough blood.

Although, up until now, this hasn’t happened to her before. But then she recalls that Kanato has sucked her blood countless of times. Up until now, she hasn’t ever lost that much blood that many times before. She winces at how her head hurts, but then Kanato enters through the door and asks her if she’s here. Yui gasps out his name in surprise, but he merely asks with a frown if she’s anemic.

She nods and he frowns even further as he points out that her pallor is quite bad. Why is she still up? He urges her to hurry up and lie down. Yui is surprised by his words but she obeys him while asking him why he’s here and what about his classes? He informs her that he saw her stagger down the hall and so he followed after her. The lesson was boring and so he followed after her in hopes that they could play; but with her condition like this, it doesn’t seem possible.

She agrees and tells him that it’ll be painful if she doesn’t sleep right now. He narrows his eyes and grumbles at how boring that is. She apologizes quietly at that and is inwardly surprised at how Kanato’s mood doesn’t seem to be any worse for that. He admits that he thought about having her give him more blood tonight, but he’s sure that if he sucked her blood right now it’d be thin and boring.

It can’t be helped and so he won’t be sucking her blood tonight. Yui is shocked to hear this and then she blushes as she asks him if he’s worried about her. Kanato looks confused as he asks her why he would be worried about her. She’s taken aback and tells him that he doesn’t have to say it in such a strange way.

He tells her that she’s being extremely conceited; isn’t that idiotic? She apologizes in a hurt voice, but he only sneers before informing her that he only doesn’t want to drink distasteful blood. He’ll restrain himself for tonight but tomorrow he’s going to drink a lot. Kanato tells her to hurry up and create a lot of blood to please him, after all that is her only talent. She has no choice but to nod her head.

She thinks his wording is strange, but it feels like he’s telling her to hurry up and get better. She smiles at the thought of this being Kanato’s way of worrying about her. However, the two of them are interrupted when Shu enters the room. They all look surprised to see each other and then Shu comments on how unusual it is for the two of them to be here.

Yui hurriedly explains that she’s a bit anemic. He hums thoughtfully and then tells them that he doesn’t care either way, because all he wants is that bed. Kanato asks flatly if he plans on sleeping here, to which Shu replies with a smile that he’s sleepy. Kanato snaps at him to do that elsewhere because there’s no way he’d let Shu sleep beside Yui. Shu’s eyes widen at that while Yui points out that he doesn’t need to worry that much because it’s another bed, even if it’s beside her.

However, Kanato snaps out angrily that he’s saying he won’t allow it! She winces at his voice, but Shu closes his eyes and grunts out that he’ll go elsewhere since it’s troublesome getting involved with a spoiled brat. He leaves and then Kanato tells Yui to get up because they’re changing places. She blinks in confusion and asks him why, which makes him hiss out that there might be other students who will use the bed beside her if she sleeps in the infirmary.

He absolutely won’t forgive anyone other than him sleeping in the same room as her. She’s taken aback by his words, but he continues on to say that if she wishes to sleep then she should leave early. It’d be better if she slept in his or her own room after returning home, right? Yui is confused by his current attitude, but then Kanato tells her to stand if she understands him.

She does so in confusion and then he tells her to come with him. Yui wonders if this is jealousy, or the desire to monopolize, or something like that. Her heart beats loudly and she wonders what she should do. But then she smiles because it looks like she’s happy.

It’s raining outside, but Yui is standing in the hall of the house and thinking about how Kanato has shut himself up in his room for the past several days. She finally became worried and came to the front of his room, but what should she do? She recalls that he becomes strange on rainy days… and it might be better not to provoke him imprudently. But leave him alone at this rate will make her worried.

She gathers her courage and knocks on the door with a smile before announcing herself. She asks him if he’ll show himself to her for a bit, but there’s no response. Once again she knocks on the door and asks him if he can hear her. She’s been worried because he hasn’t come out at all and is he alright? She knocks again and pleads with him to at least answer her. But there is nothing and she realizes that it’s useless.

Maybe she should give up for the night and come again tomorrow. However, just as she thinks this, the door opens and her eyes widen. She cautiously announces herself again and asks him if she can enter, only to yelp when her arm is suddenly grabbed and she’s pulled into the room. The door slams shut behind her. Inside the room she sees that Kanato is crying and so she worriedly asks him what happened.

He continues to cry though and sobs out her name before embracing her abruptly which surprises Yui. He sobs out「・・うぅ・・・やだ、行かないで・・・僕を・・・独りにしないで・・・」(… Uu… no, don’t go… don’t leave me… alone…). She murmurs his name and then spots Teddy neglected on the ground. The usual Kanato wouldn’t treat Teddy like that. Once again she asks him worriedly if something happened and what’s wrong?

But he only begs again for her not to leave him alone. She tells him that she won’t leave him alone and that she’s right here. He sobs out that he’s cold and she repeats that word in confusion because the room is plenty warm. Yui decides to return his embrace and then tells him that he won’t be cold with this, right? When she hugs him though she realizes that he IS colder than usual.

He’s always been a little cool, but right now he’s so cold it’s like he’s turning to ice. Even if he’s a vampire, isn’t a temperature like this dangerous? Kanato once again sobs out quietly that he’s cold. She apologizes and then realizes that this isn’t enough. She asks him to wait while she brings a blanket. This makes him yell out that such a thing won’t lessen his coldness.

She winces when he grabs her tightly and tells him that it hurts because he’s using a bit too much strength. But he cries out that his coldness… his loneliness… and his despair can’t be cured by this. Yui repeats those words in confusion in her mind, but then Kanato begs her to do something because it hurts. He only wants just one thing. He’s only obtained vestiges of what he wants. Yui notices that Kanato glanced over at Teddy for a second.

He whispers out that these things aren’t enough at all. That’s why every time the rain falls he feels so cold… so very cold. She cautiously asks him if he’s alright and then suggests that he sleep for a while. But he asks her desperately what she thinks he could do to feel warm. Yui’s eyes widen and then she closes them in pain when Kanato’s hand tightens around her neck. He gives her a twisted smile and asks her if she can relieve this cold by even just a little.

She gasps out that it hurts, but he only sobs and asks her what he should do. She tries to say his name, but he only asks her desperately when he’ll become free. He tightens his hand even more and Yui feels her strength leaving her. Kanato starts to cry louder and Yui has a feeling that she can’t leave Kanato alone right now. She needs to bear this! Yui manages to yell at him to pull himself together.

Kanato released her with a gasp of surprise and then after started crying in a corner of his room. He didn’t look at her no matter what she said. Just what exactly happened? Did something happen? A mark was inflicted upon her neck, and the redness of the fingerprints was left. Even though something to this extent happened, why can’t she hate Kanato? For some reason she isn’t able to leave Kanato alone no matter what.

Yui is in the forest because Kanato has taken her here to show her a sight he wants her to see. She comments on how large the lake is and he informs her that tonight is the full moon and so it’s especially beautiful. She asks him if he likes the full moon, to which he tells her that the question is idiotic. There is no such thing as a vampire who dislikes the full moon.

She realizes that he’s right. Anyway, Kanato remarks on how beautiful the lake surface is as it glitters with moonlight. It’s as if it were embedded with diamonds. Yui smiles and asks if the full moon’s reflection would look like a crystal ball then. He frowns and tells her that she has no taste. At the least she could have used the simile of a large grain of a pearl. She apologizes with a stutter.

Kanato’s eyes narrow as he murmurs that it really is beautiful… it’s detestable. When she looks at him in confusion, he asks her in a light voice if she knows that beautiful things break easily. He tosses a rock into the water and the ripples distort the reflection of the moon on the lake. He smiles chillingly and confesses that he wants to destroy every beautiful thing like this.

He asks her if she understands his feelings. Yui hesitates before answering that she doesn’t understand. He repeats her answer in confusion. She explains that she would want to leave beautiful things alone so that she can gaze upon them forever. Kanato thinks her answer is boring, which makes her admit that it might be but she thinks that her answer is normal.

Kanato frowns angrily and tells her that he thought she would understood his impulses a little. Yui apologizes quietly and he smiles before telling her that it’s fine. Probably, no one is able to understand him; and he knows this. She says his name questioningly, but he confesses to her that when he sees beautiful things he wants to trample them unbearably. He wants to crush everything into pieces and pulp.

He wants to erase their existence from this world. Yui is completely confused and asks him what he’s talking about. He laughs quietly before reassuring her that he wasn’t talking about her. Therefore, she shouldn’t be conceited. She tries to tell him that she wasn’t thinking of herself and then she realizes that she should ask him if he’s talking about someone. His expression freezes before he tells her that she’s wrong. He doesn’t know any beautiful people.

Just like her; she isn’t beautiful at all. Yui is taken aback by his irritated expression and she yelps when he suddenly takes a step closer and pins her to the ground. She tells him that it hurts, but he only continues on to say that he doesn’t need to break her and he only needs to stain her. She gasps at him as he whispers to her and tells her to fall to the place that he is at.

He kisses her deeply and then starts to strip her clothing off with his other hand. Yui protests and tries to ask him to stop and wait, but he only continues to kiss her and pant out that she really does have a nostalgic scent. She whimpers out his name and he tells her quietly that it’s a scent he likes. Her voice raises in surprise as she asks him if he isn’t going to suck her blood? He tells her that he’s going to do something more painful and more pleasurable.

Kanato chuckles lowly and tells her not to worry because he’ll also suck her blood properly. She tries to tell him to wait, but he kisses her and then admits that he’s surprised himself by doing something to this extent. When she looks confused, he explains that he unexpectedly became interested in her. She should feel honored, but… if she resists then he’ll tear her throat out like this. He tells her to work hard at enduring it.

Disobeying was an act that would not be forgiven. Even she doesn’t know why Kanato did such a thing. Perhaps it was because of the full moon. Or perhaps it was because his obsession intensified. Her mind has already given up on trying to figure out which one. There’s nothing but fear and pain… When she thinks about why he’s doing such things against her will, she wants to cry. Except, she didn’t dislike it. What are these feelings directed towards Kanato?

Yui and Kanato are in the underground canal and she comments on how she wouldn’t have thought there was a place like this below the castle. This canal is very vast. Kanato is smiling as he explains that in the past, when enemies attacked, the lord would escape the castle through this hidden passage. Although, it doesn’t seem like it had ever been used once like that.

He talks how there is no one who would think of defying his father. At least… in public. Yui asks him who their father is and so he reveals bluntly that he’s the leader of the vampires. She can’t help but think that having multiple wives and having children from all of them isn’t normal at all. At any rate, Kanato tells her that he’s tired of looking at this dim canal and then asks to borrow her lap. He also wants her to hold Teddy.

She nods her head in surprise, because she wouldn’t have thought that he’d entrust Teddy to her. What’s going on? She always felt like he wouldn’t ever hand Teddy over to anyone, especially since he’s always carrying it. Kanato notes that she has an uneasy expression. When she blinks in surprise, he elaborates and asks her if she’s uneasy in holding Teddy. She nods hesitantly and he laughs briefly before telling her that won’t do; there is nothing to be uneasy about.

It’s simply that he because she’s a person who is capable of holding Teddy and he’s trusting her in that. When she shows her surprise at that word, he smiles slowly and points out that they’ve already felt each other’s bare skin, after all.  She splutters at that and turns bright red, which makes him tilt his head and ask her why she’s so surprised. After all, it’s the truth.

Or is it that she already forgot what happened at the lake? Yui hesitates before she blurts out that she forgot! She’s so embarrassed that she accidentally said a lie. He merely smiles though and comments on how sad that is that she’s forgotten it. In that case, it can’t be helped. He steps closer with that same smile and tells her that if they do the same thing again then she’ll remember it, right?

He corners her against the wall and whispers to her that if she forgets it again then his chest might split open from the sadness of it. If that happens it’ll be a disaster, and so this time he’ll give her more and more pain. This makes her blurt out that he’s wrong and she didn’t forget it! She still remembers! He frowns at that and then points out that this means she lied then.

She tries to stutter out a reason, but he interrupts with a chuckle 「ふふ・・・わかってますよ。僕に罰されたいからでしょう?」(Fufu… I understand. You want me to punish you, right?). She tries to call out his name, but then she yelps in pain. He’s sucking on her skin as he asks her if this is the first time she’s been bitten on the leg. The inside of her thigh is so soft that his fangs have instantly buried themselves into her skin.

Yui can’t stop the blush from rising in her cheeks and the dazed smile on her face. This only makes Kanato laugh against her skin and ask her if she’s feeling pleasure. She shuts her eyes, but then he stands up and tells her to say that she loves him. Her eyes widen and she turns even more red. Kanato asks her to say it before telling her that he’ll make her feel even better if she does.

She continues to resist, but this just makes him whisper softly into her ear 「・・・好きって、言って。」(… Say that you love me). As she continues to keep her eyes shut, he repeats his words again in her ear. She finally opens her eyes and says his name.

As he sucked up her blood, and licked her skin, he coaxed her again and again, countless of times, to say those words. He told her to say “I love you”. He told her to say that she loved him. She didn’t say it. She was determined to be silent, and waited for him to give up. She doesn’t hate him. It’s just that she can’t leave him alone and she thinks of wanting to be by his side. Is this feeling love?… Pity? When will the answer come out?

Yui is in the dance hall and she’s looking around at the spacious room. There’s an amazingly large chandelier. In the movies, a room like this would be used to hold dance parties. She wonders if this room is actually used for that. But then she reminds herself that, more importantly, she has to find Kanato! Where did he go? He was unusually looking around restlessly in the castle and she completely lost sight of him.

Suddenly Laito appears and greets her with surprise, while still using the moniker “bitch-chan”. Ayato also appears and greets her, while calling her “chichinashi”, before asking what she’s doing here. She blushes a bit as she greets them both and then asks what the two of them are doing here. Ayato asks her what’s strange about a son being in his father’s residence. Yui realizes that he’s right about that.

Laito returns the question and asks her why she’s alone in a place like this. He explains that this place is the inner citadel of the vampires and to them she’s only a first-rate meal. Doesn’t she know that? She hesitantly admits that she got lost from Kanato. Laito smiles at that and comments on how Kanato also came here then. Ayato frowns and asks what is with that, since that means that it’ll be troublesome to raise a hand to chichinashi here. Laito agrees with a frown.

Yui feels a sense of relief since it seems like she doesn’t have to worry about these two doing anything for now… right? Then Ayato sneers and comments on how that “hysteric” is spacing out in front of a mirror deep in the castle anyway. She thanks him with a bright smile and tells them that she’ll look for Kanato there. Laito tilts his head and comments on how she ran away as fast as she could.

Ayato frowns and wonders out loud if she’s that fine with Kanato. He’s not just an exceeding misfortune, but a road that is going full speed to misfortune. Laito laughs and points out that those words are something someone would say about any of them. Ayato sneers.

Meanwhile, Yui finally reaches Kanato and she happily exclaims that she found him! She’s confused when she sees him look extremely startled at seeing her reflection in the mirror; he even gasps loudly. But then Kanato smiles coldly and remarks on how he thought of “that person”. Why is that? When she repeats the words “that person” in confusion, he continues on to say that she doesn’t resemble that person at all, and yet…

Perhaps it is because of that nostalgic scent. Yui is completely confused, but then Ayato catches up to them and asks Kanato why he’s having a conversation while looking at the mirror. He should stop being a narcissist. Laito comments on how Kanato really loves his own face, huh. That’s surprising since he doesn’t look like the type. Kanato narrows his eyes and tells them to shut up, before asking what of it.

Yui asks him in surprise if he likes his own face. Kanato replies aggressively that he does, and is there something wrong with that? She smiles and tells him that there isn’t anything wrong with that, and she was just thinking about how interesting that was. He blinks in surprise and so she continues on to explain that Kanato has a beautiful face and if she was Kanato then she would also like mirrors.

He furrows his eyebrows and tells her that he doesn’t particularly think of his face as beautiful. When she looks confused, he tells her in an irritated voice that he’s not looking into the mirror for that reason. He asks her not to put him on par with those disgusting animals such as narcissists. She apologizes with a stutter and then asks him why he’s looking into the mirror then.

Kanato answers softly 「僕の、この顔は・・・似ているから。」(Because my.. this face… is similar). In her mind, she wonders who his face is similar to. Kanato continues on to say that when he sees it he remembers, because he’s the only one who is similar… Ayato suddenly smirks and points out that, speaking of looking similar, somehow Kanato and chichinashi look somewhat similar.

She blinks in surprise while Kanato frowns in confusion. Laito agrees and wonders if it’s their atmosphere or the way their face is composed or maybe the parts of their face. For some reason they are similar. It’s a subtle similarity that wouldn’t be seen if not looked at closely. Kanato snarls something unintelligible which causes Yui to look over and ask him if he said something. He suddenly yells out that he won’t forgive that!!

Yui screams in surprise when he smashes the mirror with his hand and then she’s worried when she sees all the blood. Ayato frowns and asks Kanato if he’s being hysterical again. Laito comments on how if he has to see blood, it would have been better to see bitch-chan’s blood. Meanwhile, Kanato repeats that he won’t forgive that.

Yui tries to ask him what he’s doing, but he only smiles chillingly and mumbles that only he should resemble that person. There is no need for anyone else to resemble that person. Once again, she inwardly wonders who he’s talking about and who “that person” is? Kanato hisses out over and over again that he won’t allow that. She tries to call out to him and tells him to get a hold of himself. Is he alright?!

He suddenly comes back to the present and he gives a small smile at the sight of how much blood has been spilled. She quickly agrees and then wonders out loud what they should do, because they need to treat it. Kanato tells her that she’s not being smart and then orders her to lick it. Laito’s voice is amused as he asks if Kanato is intending to show them this.

Kanato drawls out that if they don’t want to see this then they should hurry up and go elsewhere, shouldn’t they? Ayato tells him to shut up because they won’t be provoked by that, idiot. Kanato’s voice is flat as he tells them to do as they please. Then, once again, he tells Yui to lick up his blood. She stutters out that she can’t do that while the other two are watching.

But Kanato’s voice becomes hard as he tells her that she can and she will, won’t she? She flinches in silence and then agrees quietly, which makes him tell her to hurry up and lick it then. If she doesn’t then the blood will drip onto the ground and she’ll have to crawl on the ground and lick it up from there.

She lifts up his hand to her mouth with her own and Ayato scoffs at how she’s actually doing it. Laito laughs and comments on how erotic bitch-chan is being. Yui remains silent through all of this and Kanato laughs softly before telling her to do it more and to reach the space in between his fingers.

Just as he said, her tongue traces the wounds on him… in front of Laito and Ayato’s eyes. It was terribly humiliating and in the middle of it she started crying, even though she knew that this would only please Kanato. While she cried, she thought about why Kanato suddenly became angry. She wondered who “that person” was. How precious was that person’s existence to Kanato? Could it be that she was placed by his side as a replacement for that person…?

Epilogue

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

In the bathroom Kanato is looking in the mirror and he smiles happily before saying that his face in the mirror is… the same as usual. It’s more similar than anyone else… that makes him happy. He whispers that Teddy must also be pleased, right? That his face is similar. And that person must surely be proud of that. Isn’t that right, Teddy?

That’s why, whenever he looks into the mirror, he can always meet that person. The appearance that is inside the mirror. The other vestiges of that person is being held by Teddy. Suddenly he frowns and tells Teddy that lately he’s been feeling a bit strange though. Even though he’s looking into the mirror and he’s talking to Teddy like this, he’s thinking about someone else.

Yes… it’s that girl, Yui. He narrows his eyes and asks Teddy if he understands. He tilts his head and repeats the question that Teddy asked him, about what he thinks of that girl. Kanato laughs softly and points out that Teddy should already know that, shouldn’t he? Yes, that’s right. He wants to make that girl his and his alone as well. Teddy must be wanting a companion any time now.

He smiles when he hears Teddy’s agreement. In that case, he needs to think on how he’s going to turn her into a doll. Right now that girl is trapped by her sense of values and so at the beginning she might be afraid. She might make some indecent screams. It’ll be a little annoying but they’ll have to endure it. Why doesn’t she understand?

Becoming his doll means sleeping forever in the middle of a sweet and warm darkness. It’s a pity that she doesn’t understand how much happiness that is. In that room, there’s a lot of his dolls there… and everyone is very happy. Nevertheless, just before they became dolls, everyone shouted and cried like idiots. Kanato frowns as he realizes that he doesn’t really want to see Yui like that. He asks Teddy what he should do.

If he sent her into a deep sleep before turning her into a doll, then it would end quietly he thinks. But she’ll still need to see the moment her life ceases, because it’ll be boring to become a doll without knowing that beautiful moment. What should he do? He’s really troubled and lost, Teddy. Won’t they think about this together? The best way to kill Yui. He smiles.

Prologue

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

Flashback! Cordelia calls out Kanato’s name in the dance hall. He runs over and greets his mother happily. She tells him to come over to her and he obeys. Then she asks him what he was doing by himself, to which he answers that he was making dolls. She narrows her eyes in confusion before she recalls what those were. Kanato explains that he took that person since mother said that she didn’t need that person anymore. Was he mistaken?

She smiles and tells him that she loves his dolls and he should create more. Kanato informs her that he doesn’t have any more materials though. She tells him that, come tomorrow, she’ll give him a man since she’s already tired of him anyway. Kanato thanks her with a boyish grin, which makes Cordelia smile as she tells him that rather than thanking her with words he should sing. Kanato nods happily and asks if he can sing the song he always sings.

Cordelia answers that it’s fine because she really loves his singing. She giggles and admits that when she hears that voice she feels… extremely aroused. Kanato repeats her words in confusion, and so Cordelia elaborates that her whole body flushes. He tilts his head in confusion, but then she calls him her canary and tells him to sing a lot tonight. Kanato gives a big smile and nods and then begins to sing Scarborough Fair. Cordelia laughs.

Present! Kanato is singing Scarborough Fair in the gardens, but then Yui runs up to him and pants out that she finally found him! He falls silent with wide eyes which makes her ask him if something happened. He whispers “mother” under his breath, but Yui apologizes and tells him that she didn’t quite catch that. She wonders worriedly what’s wrong because his eyes are blank.

She’s not sure where he’s looking at. She hesitantly apologizes for interrupting his singing, but it’s almost time for the sun to come out and so she thought they should return soon. But Kanato suddenly wonders out loud why he didn’t notice until now. She blinks in confusion, but he continues on to say that her mannerism of talking… is a bit similar, though her voice is completely different.

And same with her face. When he looks at it, she doesn’t look similar at all… and yet at the same time he can see it. It’s strange. He steps closer to her with narrowed eyes and she says his name questioningly. He whispers into her right ear that when he thinks about it, her nostalgic scent is… very similar to that person. Yui tries to ask who he’s talking about, but he only smiles with appreciation and murmurs her name.

Yui gasps when he suddenly kisses her and she tries to ask him, in between his kisses, if something happened. He tells her to be silent because it’s boorish to talk while in the middle of a kiss. Then Kanato smiles and informs her that he has something he’d like her to be aware about. He whispers 「愛しています。・・・狂おしいほどに。」(I love you… to the point of madness).

Her heart beats loudly at that which surprises her, but then he whispers again that he loves her. She’s shocked by that confession and then wonders if he’s mistaking her for someone. Her heart thumps loudly and she tries to tell herself that there’s no way he loves her.

Yui knocks on the door and enters into Kanato’s room while asking if he’s here. It’s almost time for school. But then she sees Kanato crying, which makes her ask him worriedly if something happened. He sobs out Teddy’s name and she realizes that Teddy’s stomach is torn. He explains through tears that a string was loose and so he pulled it and then Teddy…

She reassures him that it’s alright and if they sew him up then he’ll be back to normal, probably. He asks her if she’s telling the truth and she nods before asking him carefully if she can see Teddy. She hums thoughtfully and then asks him if he can lend Teddy to her for a day. If she’s given a day then she can sew up his stomach prettily. Kanato agrees and asks her to take care of Teddy.

Yui promises that she will, but then she notices something. There’s something inside of Teddy’s stomach? She asks out loud if this is a… bottle? Kanato makes a soft noise of surprise. She notes inwardly that there’s something packed inside… ash? Why is there a small bottle filled with ash inside of Teddy? But then Kanato comments on how she found it, which makes her apologize hurriedly. She’ll return it immediately!

But Kanato laughs quietly and tells her that it’s fine. He’ll show it to her as long as it’s her. Yui blinks in surprise, especially when he explains that this is something that is very important to him. Does she want to know why? She wonders what she should do… because she has a bad premonition about this… Kanato points out that she must be curious though, right? This is a special bottle and there’s a magic seal stamped on it.

She notices that it has a pattern of roses. He nods and then asks her what she thinks this bottle is. She hesitates before answering that it might be food? He sounds curious as he asks her why she would think that. She answers that in the past she read in books about how vampires would eat roses to stave off hunger. He chuckles and then agrees that this rose symbol would make her think of that.

Yui realizes that she’s wrong and he nods before informing her that this isn’t something to be eaten. This is actually a medicine that makes him become healthy. She’s inwardly shocked by that because it sounds suspicious. Kanato reveals that when he tastes this, he becomes extremely calm. He demonstrates for her how he’ll pick it up like this and taste a bit of it.

But no matter how much she looks at it she can only see it as ashes. Kanato tells her to drink some, because he’s giving some to her specially. Her eyes widen as he continues on to say that even just a sip will make her mood change drastically. As he offers it to her, she tries to convince herself that it won’t be a suspicious drug… right?

Finally his voice drops at her hesitance and he orders her to do it quick. She has no choice but to obey and so she sips a bit of it and is surprised by the lack of taste. Suddenly Kanato starts to laugh and he asks her if she tasted it? Did she actually drink it? She answers warily that she did and he starts to grin as he exclaims that this is good and it makes him happy to have “that” mixing inside of her.

She looks at him in confusion but he merely continues to smile and recalls that they have to leave for school. In that case, they should prepare. Yui goes along with the subject change and tells him that she’ll be leaving Teddy in her room temporarily then. He nods with a smile. However, she can’t help but wonder why Kanato is suddenly in a cheerful mood. Is it because of the medicine, although it had absolutely no effect on her…

Yui is showering in the bathroom and she finds that her body hurts a little. It was here that Kanato strangled her neck… and he hurts her a lot on purpose. She wonders why… She never understands what he’s thinking about. She sighs heavily before turning off the water and deciding to get out. However, just as she finishes dressing, the door opens and Laito and Ayato appear.

Ayato greets her with a fanged grin and calls her chichinashi, while Laito addresses her as bitch-chan and comments on her sexy clothes. She turns bright red and splutters out that right now she’s using the bath! What is this all of a sudden? Although she’s glad that she managed to at least put on some clothes. Ayato answers that it’s obvious; they have free time.

She stares at them silently, but he’s undeterred and tells her to have some fun with them. She yelps in pain when they grab her and Laito notes that it shouldn’t be her first time anymore. That’s why she doesn’t need to be that afraid of what they’re going to do, and they’ll make sure that she has fun. She tries to ask them what they’re talking about, but Ayato cuts her off and tells her to raise her head.

They’re bored and so she should be their companion once in a while. She has no chance to react before he forcibly kisses her. On the side Laito pouts at how unfair Ayato is being, since he wanted to kiss her first. Ayato tells him to shut up because the faster person is the winner. Yui tries to tell him to stop, but he tells her to shut up and then kisses her again.

Laito decides that he’ll go ahead with her blood then instead of her body. Her eyes widen as he laughs at how many bite marks there are on her neck due to Kanato; that’s amazing. He decides that she must be weak on her neck and then sinks his fangs into her. She opens her mouth to gasp in pain, but this just makes Ayato note that she finally opened her mouth and he thrusts his tongue in.

On the other side, Laito pants out about how amazing her blod is and how the taste of her blood is the best. In her mind, she shouts at them to stop because she’s scared of this. At this rate, is she going to be used by however these two like? Suddenly Kanato appears and interrupts with a low voice 「・・・その餌は僕のものですよ。」(… That meal belongs to me).

Yui’s eyes snap open, but Ayato asks him what he’s doing because he’s interrupting a good place. Laito’s voice is pleasant as he asks Kanato when he was there, because he was so enraptured with bitch-chan that he didn’t notice him at all. Kanato growls out that he just arrived… when she was being kissed and becoming entranced by it. Yui denies being spellbound by those kisses.

But he tells her to be silent because he wasn’t seeking her opinion. She flinches and closes her eyes, but Ayato only laughs and asks Kanato, while calling him a “hysteric”, what he’s so irritated about. Kanato snarls out that it’s obvious… it’s because he found two worms that have acted on what belongs to him like animals. Laito light-heartedly remarks on how scary he’s being.

Kanato’s voice becomes even lower as he growls at the two of them to leave… immediately. Laito obeys with a comment on how it’ll require too much effort to be an opponent of the current Kanato. Ayato scoffs at how boring this was and the mood has been spoiled. The two of them saunter out and the moment they’re gone Kanato asks her what kind of punishment she would like.

She tries to apologize, but this makes him point out that an apology means that one is aware of their own wrongdoing. In that case, she was the one who tempted those two like he had thought. She tries to say that he’s wrong, but he interrupts and asks her what he’s wrong about. Yui wonders what she should do because Kanato is misunderstanding this and at this rate…

But she decides to remain silent. She wasn’t the one at fault but she has a feeling that it’d be useless to say anything to the present Kanato. He narrows his eyes though and asks her, once again, what he was wrong about and why is she silent? Yui stutters out that she had no intentions of seducing those two. But concerning the result it may seem like that… and so she apologizes again.

Kanato tells her that it didn’t “seem” like that and it actually happened. He frowns and murmurs about how she’s also similar in how she unconsciously seduces men. Yui looks at him in confusion, but then he tells her that he greatly detests that part of her. She winces and apologizes again but he immediately tells her to stop her apologizes, because she has no intentions of correcting it apparently.

She can do nothing but apologize again. Kanato steps closer and decides that, at any rate, he should give her the punishment. The place that Laito sucked blood from was… her neck, wasn’t it? She nods shakily and then points to the exact spot which makes Kanato smile coldly. He tells her that he’s going to bite the places that Laito touched. Her eyes widen as he asks her to grit her teeth and endure the pain.

And then he bites her. Yui screams out in pain because it hurts and he bit into her neck with all his strength. Kanato lifts up his head and then narrows his eyes as he notes that next is… Ayato’s kiss. She whimpers in fear, but he comments on how biting her lips would make her become ugly in the end so… it can’t be helped.

He tells her to also endure this and then kisses her. In her mind Yui wonders why Kanato is doing this. It hurts. Her neck hurts. And yet, why is his kiss so gentle? She prays for God to save her, because she’s caught by Kanato.

Yui knocks on the door and then enters Kanato’s room. As she does so, she asks him if he called her. Kanato greets her and then requests that she close the door before coming in. She does so with a smile and then he invites her to look outside the window. Isn’t it a nice moonlit night? She realizes that it’s a full moon and he nods with a smile.

She notes that it seems bigger than usual and the color is somehow… red. Kanato explains that the night of a red full moon seldom happens but… he really likes that color. Yui points out that it looks like the color of blood. He informs her that this is the reason why he likes it. The bright red color that resembles blood enchants vampires above all else. And this is why he’s very aroused tonight.

Yui blinks in confusion and then Kanato asks her to look into his eyes. She obeys with a small smile but then her heart beats loudly and she realizes that she can’t move her body. He smiles and points out that it’s fun to do this once in a while, isn’t it? He informs her 「君に暗示をかけたんですよ。『オマエハ人形ダヨ』ってね。」(I placed a suggestion on you; “You are a doll”).

She becomes alarmed but he tells her that she can’t speak, of course. After all, dolls cannot talk. She realizes that he’s telling the truth because her voice won’t come out. Kanato smiles in pleasure at how cute she is as a doll. He starts to fiddle with her clothing and she wonders what he’s doing. He tells her that Teddy told him that it wanted to see her disheveled, because she’s always hiding her body out of embarrassment.

He adds that she also struggles forcibly and, honestly, he’s tired of that. That’s why he thought it’d be nice if she was a nonresistant doll. Kanato gives her a small smile before asking her to show him plenty of disarray tonight. He starts to strip off her clothing and she inwardly gasps, which he seems to notice as he giggles and comments on how she seems to have a lot of weak spots.

Kanato points out that she likes it when he bites her earlobe like this, right? She likes it when he traces his tongue down the line of her jaw and when he breathes against her neck, right? He tells her that he’s going to bury his fangs into the hollow of her collarbone. He recalls that she also loves it when he licks her fingers diligently. Inwardly, Yui is trying to resist but she can’t endure this.

He laughs softly and notes that her body is completely flushed. Her face is also red. Then he tilts his head and asks her sweetly if there were any other places that she likes. She doesn’t respond though, which makes him remember that he silenced her. He tells her that he’ll allow her voice just for now. He snaps his fingers and she finally manages to gasp out loud.

But then he smiles cutely and tells her to show him her cute begging. What does she want him to do? She shyly requests a kiss from him. He recalls that she likes kisses and then asks her to open her mouth before repeating her plea again. Once again she begs him to kiss her and he giggles before praising her for doing well. Then he decides to return her back to being a doll that can’t speak again.

With another snap of his fingers she loses her voice again. Kanato murmurs that she’s really cute as kisses her gently and she can’t help but feel good from it. He laughs softly as he slides his hands over her and she feels pleasure from every place that he touches.

Suddenly he whispers into her ear that she belongs to him and in her mind she thinks about how she can’t resist him if he uses such a sweet voice. There is only falling. He whispers that he loves her and Yui feels herself starting to drown. She also feels that she…

In the dance hall, Kanato demands for Yui to come over to him. She obeys with a smile and is amazed at the number of people. This is her first time seeing so many people in this room. He explains that tonight is the night that the family of vampires assemble, and then he advises her not to leave his side. She sends him a confused look and so he explains that, apart from her, everyone here is a vampire.

The moment that she is alone her blood will be sucked until she runs out and she’ll die. She stutters out that she understands and then she remembers feeling the gaze of many people on her just a while ago. Abruptly she gasps, which makes Kanato’s eyes widen in confusion. But she only asks him if the others are coming and it takes him a moment to realize that she’s talking about the other five.

He answers that they will because, so far as it goes, they are the sons of the organizer. She thought so, since she can see people wearing uniforms over there. Kanato smiles and explains that they all need to give a speech. He points out that the programme over there should have an explanation. She blinks in surprise and asks him if that means he’ll be giving a speech as well.

Kanato frowns and points out that he just said that all the members of the family will be doing it. Did she not hear that? Yui hurriedly tells him that she didn’t mean that; she wants to know what kind of speech he’ll make. He replies that he hasn’t thought of anything. She’s stunned into silence before she asks him why not. He smiles coldly as he says that a disturbance will occur that’ll interrupt the speech at any rate. She repeats the word “disturbance” in confusion.

Meanwhile, Shu notices that there was a noise. Laito agrees that he can hear something creaking. Reiji notices dust falling from above and he sighs with annoyance at how the cleaning didn’t reach that place. It looks like he’ll have to warn the staff. His words get cut off when something snaps and Subaru inhales sharply. A huge crash happens and Yui screams in surprise before calling out for everyone.

Kanato narrows his eyes at her and asks her if she wasn’t a bit too surprised. She gasps out that it’s because the chandelier above everyone crashed down all of a sudden. Yui notices that the other five vampires leapt back with amazing speed and so miraculously there are no injuries. She thought everyone was crushed by the chandelier! Kanato admits that he thought so too… what a shame.

She turns to him in shock as he murmurs that it would have been better if they were all crushed to death. She says his name weakly, but he only smiles at her sweetly and asks her if she doesn’t think the same. She stutters for an answer and this makes him frown as he asks if she didn’t think so. She tries to tell him that going that far is… But Kanato whispers into her right ear to say that she thought the same.

Yui flinches away from him but he demands her to say that it would have been better if they all died. If she says that then he’ll give her a reward. She repeats the word “reward” slowly and so Kanato informs her that he’ll drink her blood again. She can’t stop the flush from appearing on her cheeks at that and he smiles darkly before coaxing her to say it.

He licks her neck as she whispers out those words, but he tells her that he can’t hear it. She closes her eyes as she repeats that it would have been better if they all died. Kanato laughs softly and agrees before praising her for being a good girl. He tells her to come to his room when they return to the house. He’ll love her all night long. She nods shyly with a blush. In her mind she apologizes to God, because she’s already…

Yui is vacuuming the living room and she finally stops, pleased with how it’s become considerably pretty. Suddenly Kanato comes into the room snarling at how noisy it is. She apologizes, but he asks her angrily what she’s doing. She replies that she’s cleaning which makes him ask her why she’s the one doing it. Yui tells him that she had nothing to do, and when she came downstairs she noticed that it was very messy.

Kanato frowns and points out that Reiji is always cleaning, isn’t he? She thinks that a struggle happened because there were broken chair legs and ripped magazines. Kanato thinks that it was Subaru again and she can’t help but agree. But then he narrows his eyes thoughtfully at how clean she made it. She smiles and tells him that she’ll be done after collecting all the magazines over there. He asks her if he can help.

A long pause appears before Yui blinks in confusion. What? Kanato narrows his eyes and asks her what that long silence was for. She splutters as she tries to explain before she apologizes and asks him to repeat what he just said. He tilts his head and asks her if she didn’t hear him. She tells him that it wasn’t that she didn’t hear it, but that she’s thinking she misheard. She doesn’t believe it.

He frowns again and asks her if she’s an idiot. He won’t say it again and so she should listen carefully. She nods with a smile and so once again he asks if she would like help in collecting the magazines. Yui gapes at him and then asks him worriedly if something happened and if he ate something bad. He glares at her and tells her that it’s irritating for her to be that openly surprised.

Kanato explains that he also has free time and nothing to do and this might be a surprising way to pass the time. Anyway, he asks her where the string to tie the magazines is and she directs him weakly to the table. He gives her a smile of thanks and notes that the scissors are over there as well. In her mind she still can’t believe that he said that he’ll help her.

What kind of change in mental state is this…? It seems like a dream. Meanwhile, Kanato is frowning at the stack of magazines because he can’t seem to tie them well. He tries it again, but Yui interrupts with a slight giggle and asks him to pass them over. She teaches him that, when tying magazines, it’s easier to tie it by passing the string through the bottom first. He narrows his eyes and states that he’s tired of this.

She blinks in surprise as he complains that tying magazines isn’t interesting at all; it’s boring. She hesitantly wonders if he’s sulking. Kanato tells her that if he had to tie something up, he’s more interested in this kind. When she looks at him in confusion, he answers that he meant her. He suddenly throws the string out and she yelps in surprise when her wrists are suddenly binded.

Kanato laughs and asks her if something is wrong because her expression is stiff. Is this her first time being tied up? She blushes as she blurts out that of course it is! He laughs again 「そうですか・・・。それじゃ、僕はまた君の『初めて』をもらったんですね・・・ふふふ。」(Is that so… Well then, once again I’m receiving one of your “firsts”, huh… hehehe).

She winces and tells him that it hurts. Won’t he release her? He replies lightly that he won’t release her and tonight she’s going to be connected to him like this. She tries to protest, but this makes him ask her if she’d prefer to have the string around her neck. He’s sure that she’ll suit looking like a dog. She shakes her head, which makes him tilt his head and ask her cutely why not.

He points out that she belongs to him; therefore she surely doesn’t care where he decides to tie her together. And then he asks her to crawl on the ground. She has no choice but to get down on all fours and the moment she does, he tells her to say that she can’t exist without him while remaining like that. He wants her to appeal to him shamefully like that and cling onto his leg.

Kanato points out that it’s easy, since she’s simply saying the truth. In her mind she repeats the words “the truth”. His voice lowers to a croon as he points out that she can’t live without the pleasure that he gives her anymore, right? She can’t help but think that he’s right and so she admits quietly that she can’t live without him anymore. Kanato laughs softly and then praises her for being a good girl.

The two of them are outside at a park and Kanato informs her that he found an usual flower blooming here. She repeats the word “unusual” with curiosity and so he explains that he thought it was a variety that only blooms in the southern countries. Why is it blooming here? He thinks that it’s probably someone became unable to take care of it and so transplanted it to this park.

Yui smiles and asks him where it’s blooming. He answers that it’s right here and then points out a red flower. She gasps in amazement when she sees it and he rhetorically asks if it isn’t pretty. She nods and then tells him that this is her first time seeing that kind of flower. It’s a vivid dark pink but because it’s small the color doesn’t feel emphasized and so it’s cute. She tells him that it doesn’t really carry the feeling of a flower from the south.

Kanato agrees and then admits that for some reason, after seeing this flower, he wanted to showed it to her. She thanks him for that and he replies that she’s welcome. She wouldn’t have thought that he’d want to show her a flower, but when he’s in a good mood he tends to do cute stuff like this. Suddenly some bushes rustle and Yui looks around before asking if someone is here.

A guy steps out and calls out that he’s finally found him, Sakamaki Kanato. Yui hesitantly asks Kanato who that person is and if Kanato knows him, but Kanato answers negatively with a confused look. The guy informs them that he’s an acquaintance of Sakamaki Subaru. He points out that Kanato is Subaru’s brother, isn’t he? But Kanato replies 「一応はそうみたいですね。」(For the time being it seems).

The guy snickers and decides that Kanato can help him settle his business with Subaru then. Kanato tilts his head and admits that he doesn’t understand the meaning. And so the guy explains that his injuries caused by Subaru from before are throbbing and that’s why he’s going to use Kanato as a distraction! Yui is taken aback by how this guy thinks he can attack Kanato as a replacement for Subaru, who he was no match for.

Kanato looks at him calmly as he confirms out loud that this guy is going to take it out on him because he lost to Subaru. He narrows his eyes and asks the bully if he targeted him because he felt that Kanato was the weakest among all of his brothers? Kanato laughs darkly and tells the guy not to look down on him, which makes the guy angrily call him a bastard. Yui tries to get Kanato to stop provoking the bully any more, but then the guy shouts at Kanato to die and charges.

But Kanato merely tells the guy that he’s annoying and sidesteps the attack. The man yells at him to stop dodging while Yui shouts out that it’s dangerous. Kanato smiles and tells them that this is what they call legitimate self-defense. Yui gasps in shock when the man catches on fire and the man screams in pain. But Kanato reminds him coldly to be silent and he would ask not to hear anymore unattractive noises.

Yui is stunned and she can’t believe that man just died. Kanato returns to her side and tells her with a smile not to make that expression because everything is fine. The man was burnt to the bone and so the whereabouts of this man is now gone. He tells her to come with him to wash the remaining ashes down the toilet. She stutters helplessly, but he continues to smile and tells her not to worry because this wasn’t a reasonless murder. It was legitimate self-defense.

She can’t help but find truth in his words but still… He giggles and asks her if this was her first time seeing the sight of a person burning. She snaps back that of course this is, but he only remarks on how the sight of the skin being hideously burnt and melted is so ugly that it makes one want to look away, right? She closes her eyes tightly against his words.

He tells her sweetly that if she doesn’t want the same thing to happen to her then she should remain quiet. Her eyes snap open at that as he tells her that if she does something as foolish as going to the police then she’ll burn like this man. Her voice catches in her throat and Kanato points out that she remained silent and watched though… that makes him happy. Yui protests and tells him that it was because she was doing it for him.

It was self-defense and so she didn’t think she needed to stop him. Kanato laughs softly and tells her that she’s right and he’s glad that they both think the same way. In her mind, Yui tries to convince herself that she isn’t wrong. It’s because it was dangerous for her… surely…

Kanato tilts his head and cutely asks her that from now on she won’t betray him, right? She can do nothing but nod. She thinks that person was unfortunate, but it’s best if she remains by Kanato’s side. She’ll surely forget what happened tonight… immediately.

The two of them are in the doll room and Kanato comments on how it’s been a while since they were last here. Yui agrees quietly. This is her second experience here but, as she thought, it’s creepy here. He informs her that before he used to come here frequently, but lately it seems that he’s been preoccupied with looking after her. Kanato apologizes to his dolls because they must have been lonely.

Yui can’t help but feel that his wax dolls are too realistic. When she looks at them she starts to feel awful. Kanato notices that her pallor is terrible and asks her if she’s anemic again. She shakes her head and reassures him that she’s fine. He accepts her words but narrows his eyes suspiciously. Yui tells herself that she needs to grow to like these dolls too since they’re things that Kanato is pleased with.

Kanato suddenly smiles as he decides that he’ll introduce the ones he’s most pleased with. She nods shakily and so he points out a child wearing blue clothes. Yui notices that the wax doll is very young, as if it were in middle school. Kanato explains that the child was a maid for “that person”. She immediately latches onto the words “that person” again. But then he tells her to look at that child’s back of the hand; there are a lot of burn marks.

He continues on to explain that the child was stupid and slow at her work and so she was corrected at every opportunity. Yui nods weakly because she doesn’t really understand it, but it seems to be some kind of scene? Anyway, Kanato goes on to point out a tall man in the far back. She asks if he means the one that is wearing a hat. He nods and then explains that the man was a gardener who “that person” was temporarily interested in.

He had a beautiful face and he was clever with his mouth. In those days he was very loved. Kanato frowns as he adds that the man became a doll after three months though when “that person” had grown tired of him. Yui is starting to feel alarmed but she convinces herself that it’s simply her imagination and the story is only made to resemble how he made the doll.

Kanato frowns again and points out that her pallor really is terrible. He slowly asks her in a low voice that he wouldn’t think so, but she isn’t afraid of him… is she? She confesses that she is and then apologizes because these wax dolls are a bit eerie to her. He smiles slowly at that and explains that it’s because he’s quite particular about them. He tells her not to worry and that the many times he’s seen them he’s come to think of them as lovely.

She’s still a bit confused but then she gathers her courage to ask him who “that person” is. He tilts his head and asks if he didn’t explain that before; he’s talking about Teddy. She blinks in surprise and he nods before asking Teddy if that isn’t the truth. Yui wonders if that means the maid and gardener belong to Teddy then in the scene. But then Kanato narrows his eyes and tells her that lately his interest in his dolls has been fading.

He whispers into her left ear that it’s because of her. He laughs softly and then asks her to take responsibility. She repeats the word “responsibility” in confusion but he only continues on to say that he doesn’t decorate the things he truly considers precious like this. He doesn’t like it when others can look at it. She blinks in confusion but then he suddenly says her name which brings her to attention.

Kanato smiles sweetly and tells her that if she isn’t a good girl then she might be thrown away. She replies that she’ll always be by his side. He praises her for being a good girl, just like he thought. Would she like a reward? She blushes lightly as he asks where he should suck her blood from today. He asks her how she would like to be sucked from behind occasionally. It’s an ostentatious position but… he’s sure that she’ll feel good. Yui gasps in pleasure.

Her blood, her body; everything belongs to Kanato. She’ll give her body, her heart, and everything to Kanato. And that’s why she wants him to do whatever he wants to her to his heart’s content. She’s overwhelmed by the attacking waves of pain and pleasure, and she’s sinking into his darkness. Inside she’s already filled with Kanato. She wants to embrace him and tell him that she’ll be by his side whenever he cries. That’s why she wants him to open his heart. What is he thinking right now?

Both of them are in the forest, in the daytime, and Kanato wonders out loud what is happening to him lately. Yui looks over in confusion and asks him if something happened. He narrows his eyes and admits that she won’t leave his mind. She turns bright red, but he continues on to say that it’s strange, isn’t it? This sort of thing hasn’t happened before up until now.

His heart always… belonged to Teddy. He frowns angrily 「まさか、僕が・・・テディより、あの人より、・・好きになれる人が現れるなんて・・・信じられない。」(To think that a person I would become in love with… above Teddy and that person… would appear… I don’t believe it).

Yui still has a blush on her cheeks as she asks him excitedly if he likes her! He answers flatly that he does because she seems to always be by his side unlike “that person”. He asks her if he’s right and she reassures him quickly that he’s definitely right. She’s been thinking that she wants to stay by his side forever. In her mind she realizes that the person Kanato keeps talking about must be someone who left Kanato alone and went somewhere.

That’s when he probably started using Teddy as a replacement. She tells him seriously that she won’t leave him alone. He smiles and tells her that he’s happy. Perhaps “happiness” might be the word to represent these feelings he’s having. She thinks he may be right, but then he frowns and asks her if this is alright; he can no longer live without her. Will she properly receive him?

Yui blushes and reassures him that it’ll be fine, because she hasn’t been able to exist without Kanato for a long time ago. He smiles at that before he becomes serious and says that he doesn’t need “this” anymore then, huh. She notices that he’s talking about Teddy and she tries to ask him what he’s doing, but he only smiles and tells her that it’s going to burn.

She gasps in shock when Teddy is suddenly set alight. She can’t believe he easily did that to something so precious… But Kanato whispers into her ear that this is proof of his love. She blurts out that she’s happy and thanks him, which makes him tell her in a strained voice that if she makes that kind of expression his self-control will disappear.

Yui looks at him in confusion, but he only chuckles before admitting that he wasn’t going to restrain himself from the start. He kisses her deeply and then whispers for her to stick out her tongue. She obeys with a moan and he pants out「・・ふふ。僕、君がそうやって・・・口を開けて恍惚としている表情が・・ん、すごく・・・好き、なんです。」(.. Hehe. The expression you make like that.. with your mouth open in ecstasy… nn, I really.. love it).

She confesses that she also really likes the expression he has when he kisses her. He laughs against her lips before thanking her. In her mind she notices that he seems happy. And then they make love.

Night has fallen and Yui groans as she wakes up. By her side, Kanato asks her in a whisper if she’s awake. She wakes up abruptly and stares at him with wide eyes. He comments on how she slept well it seems and this makes Yui recall that they did “that” outside. After that she was tired and fell asleep. She apologizes because it seemed like she was sound asleep.

Kanato tells her that he doesn’t mind, because he doesn’t grow tired of watching her sleeping face. She blushes at that and then inwardly hopes that she didn’t make any strange faces. Sudddenly Kanato frowns and asks her if she hurts here. She realizes that the place he’s looking at is the place where he bit into her neck really hard as punishment. He comments on how it has become a scar and it might not disappear for her entire life.

She nods and then he tells her with a serious expression that he wants to do the same thing again. Her eyes widen, but then he adds that this time he wants to do it more strongly. She repeats his words worriedly, but he tells her that it’s because he loves her. When she hesitates, he says that their bodies will be sharing the pain together. Isn’t that wonderful? The two of them will mix into one.

Yui blushes and asks him if that’s his way of showing his love. He smiles and replies that it’s one of them and then he asks if she won’t receive it after all. She shakes her head and tells him that she will. In her mind, she recalls how it hurt a lot and she was scared at that time… but today is different. As long as she thinks that she’s being loved then it’ll surely be fine. He tells her to do the same thing to him and her eyes widen.

He points out that if she loves him then she’ll be able to do it, right? Becoming one is a very joyous thing. She asks him again if he’ll be happy if she does that. He answers softly that he will and so she agrees to try her best. He grins and tells her that he thought she would say that. She giggles before thinking that, as long as it will please Kanato, she feels like she’ll be able to do anything.

After that, they once again laid their bodies on top of each other and as they made love they slowly bit each other’s body; Kanato on her shoulder. She on his finger. It was different from the times her blood was sucked. It still hurt enough to make her scream… but because Kanato was happy she was happy. Being able to understand each other’s feelings is a wonderful thing. She’s thankful to Kanato. She wants to be like this forever.

Yui is in the storeroom at school and she knocks frantically on the door while calling out to Kanato to open the door. She begs him to open it, but there’s no response. How much time has passed since she’s been shut in here? No matter how many times she calls out, Kanato doesn’t answer. Is he no longer there? In that case it might be better if she sought someone else to help her somehow. It’s steadily getting colder and it’ll be painful to spend the night here.

She yells out again and asks if Kanato is there before knocking on the door, but there’s no response. It seems like he’s not there. But she feels like if she yells out for someone to save her and Kanato hears that then it’ll be dangerous. She’s sure that he’ll be angry if she relies on another person. The reason why she’s locked in here is because of what happened as they were going to school. That was the source…

Flashback! In the hall at home, Yui searches her pockets but she can’t find it. Kanato asks her what she’s doing. She tells him that it seems like she dropped her rosary. He smiles as he tells her that it doesn’t really matter, does it? She replies that it isn’t good, because it’s precious.

His expression freezes but she doesn’t notice as she mumbles out loud that it might be in the shoe rack. Just a few minutes ago she took out some notes so maybe at that time… She nods and decides that it must be there! Yui apologizes to Kanato before excusing herself to search for it. He glares at her back as she leaves.

At school, Yui dashes down the stairs but bumps into Ayato and Laito. Ayato calls out to her and asks her why she’s running in such a hurry. Laito snickers and asks her if might have dropped something. She asks them hurriedly if they know anything about her rosary. Laito answers that he does and brings it out before telling her that it fell around the shoe rack.

Ayato recoils and curls his lip as he asks Laito how he can touch it with his bare hands. It’s disgusting. Laito points out that this thing is merely a decoration. Yui asks them to return it because it’s precious. Laito grins and asks her teasingly what he should do. What will she give him if he returns it to her? Ayato smirks and asks her if she won’t strip right now. She refuses that sharply.

He narrows his eyes and asks her if she’s implying that it’s not important enough for that. She closes her eyes in frustration, but then Laito tells her that if she doesn’t want to do that then how about yelling out really loudly for them to fuck her right now; loud enough for Kanato to hear. Ayato asks if she’s irritated before telling her that if she wants her rosary then she needs to pick one.

Laito chuckles and tells her to be quick because if she doesn’t then he might accidentally crush the rosary. Yui wonders what she should do, but then Kanato appears and asks her why there’s a need for hesitation. She turns to look at him in surprise but then he reminds her that she’s already his. He tells her that there is no way he’d forgive her for going out of the way to show her skin to others or for betraying him by yelling that.

He suddenly shouts angrily that this is why it’s strange that she is not abandoning that rosary. She protests weakly, but then he tells Laito and Ayato to stop fooling around and to return the rosary into her bag. Laito obeys while teasingly remarking on how scary Kanato is, while Ayato asks if Kanato is fine with it being returned.

But Kanato merely tells them that right now he has business with her. She nods hesitantly and as they leave Ayato snickers at how miserable she’ll be for what is going to happen. And that’s what led to her current predicament. Kanato locked her in here under the reason of her talking to those two. She realizes that she still has some way to go to understand Kanato if even talking to people isn’t allowed.

Present! She realizes that this is what it means to be loved by Kanato. She’s the one at fault. The door suddenly unlocks and as it opens she calls out Kanato’s name joyfully. He’s staring at her with a flat expression though and she winces as she notices that his eyes are still angry. He hasn’t forgiven her yet. Finally, Kanato asks her if she did some reflection. When she nods weakly he points out that there must be words she should say then.

And so Yui apologizes. But he tells her that she’s wrong and his voice lowers as he asks her if there isn’t anything else she should be saying. A flame suddenly appears and she wonders why he’s bringing that out. Kanato tells her with a chilling smile that if she doesn’t hurry up and beg for forgiveness then she’ll burn. The flame becomes larger and she’s shocked at his intentions to burn this place.

Once again he asks what else she should say. She hurriedly blurts out that she’ll no longer talk to those two. He demands that she not only not talk to those two, but all his brothers as well. She agrees to do that with a stutter, but then Kanato tilts his head and muses out loud that there’s no need for her to talk to anyone other than him, actually. When she looks confused he tells her that he feels unhappy when he sees that.

And then he rhetorically asks her that there’s no way the person he loves would act in a way as to make him unhappy, right? She has no choice but to agree and she promises him that she won’t talk to anyone else but him anymore. He smiles at that and praises her for being a good girl. Then he decides that if she says these words then he’ll forgive her.

When she asks him what those words are, he tells her to vow immediately that she’ll be his servant for eternity. She repeats the word “servant” and he nods before pointing out that she can say it, can’t she? She hesitantly tries to ask what he means by “servant”. He answers that he doesn’t intend on her doing anything, he merely wants to see her resolution.

The flames become more intense and she winces, but he only smiles and tells her to proceed. Yui has no choice but to stutter out that she’ll be his servant for eternity. He finally laughs in joy and thanks her because he’s very happy. He tells her that she really is a good girl and he knew that. He kisses her after he says this and Yui blushes in pleasure.

Kanato’s words, as if they were some kind of drug, electrified the inside of her mind. She’s really a good girl. She is loved by Kanato. But she’s become a slave for eternity. Is this also one form of love? She doesn’t know but… But if she follows his words precisely then somehow things will go well. She doesn’t want to make Kanato angry, nor does she want to make him cry. As long as they’re happy together then surely… anything is fine.

The two of them are out in the forest and, as Yui wonders where this place is, Kanato comments on how the weather is clear tonight. It feels good, doesn’t it? She nods with a smile and then notices that Kanato and her are both wearing their uniforms. Does that mean they’re returning home from school? But wait… did they go to school today? She doesn’t remember.

Kanato asks her why she’s staggering around before telling her to give him her hand. She nods with a smile and then thinks about how holding hands with him is tender. Where are they heading? Lately her memory seems to have flown out a lot and it might be because she’s tired. But if she’s with Kanato then there won’t be any problems, surely.

Anyway, Kanato suddenly smiles and tells her that he’s been thinking lately that he wants to go to a world where there’s only the two of them. Doesn’t it sound fun? A place where there is no one other than them. He asks her if she doesn’t think that it’s world where their hearts can surely be at ease. She blinks in surprise as she thinks about a world where there is no one but them.

Her heart thumps loudly as she loses the smile on her face and answers that it’ll be lonely, won’t it? He frowns and asks her why it would be lonely. If she has him then that’s enough, isn’t it? She tries to explain, but he interrupts and shouts out that this is what it means to love him! Doesn’t she understand?! She flinches before shaking her head and apologizing because she doesn’t know what came over here; of course he’s right.

He smiles gently at her again and tells her that it’s good that she understands. Then he admits that he wants to go to that world like this. She smiles back and tells him that she wants to do that too, if that is his wish. He laughs which makes her happy since he seems happy. But then he asks her if she’ll die if he told her to die. She blinks in surprise and repeats the word “die”, to which he nods and asks her if she’ll obey him if he wishes that.

She blushes shyly and confesses that if he wishes it then… she will. He tilts his head in surprise, meanwhile Yui wonders what she’s saying because to die when someone says to die is a bit… Kanato laughs before praising her for being such a good girl and such a cute and obedient person. He suddenly embraces her and then calls her an idiot because obviously he was joking.

Yui asks him if that’s true and he answers in the affirmative before admitting that he’s happy though. She replies that she’s glad then. In her mind she realizes that once again, when he embraces her like this and whispers into her ear, she can’t think about anything. Is this why she’s been having gaps in her memory…? Kanato whispers sweetly that she belongs to him for forever and ever. She nods and tells him that of course she will.

There are a lot of moments where she doesn’t know if the things he says are serious or jokes. Even if he said that it was white, it might change immediately to black. At the beginning she was quite perplexed by that, but now she’s fine. When it happens, as long as she believes in Kanato, then it’ll be fine. It became comfortable when she stopped thinking and doubting. It is happiness to leave her body to Kanato’s words and pleasure. Isn’t that right, God?

Epilogue

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

Flashback! Kanato asks his mother blankly if something is wrong. The hole in her chest is open. Where did her heart go? His voice is flat and disbelieving as he tells his mother to wake up because they need to find her heart. He calls out his mother’s name questioningly, but there is no answer. And then he starts to sing Scarborough Fair. There’s still no response though and so he stops singing.

His voice lowers as he comments on how she won’t wake even for his song, huh. In that case, it means she’s dead already. He asks her if she knows that he’s gripping her hand. His voice is bitter as he tells her that she doesn’t though, because that’s what being dead means. He notes that he’s the last person his mother saw; does this relieve her? He pulls her closer to him and murmurs about how miserable she is to be so wet.

It’s raining down on them both as he asks her if she’s cold. He’ll warm her up right now. He starts to laugh as she’s set aflame and he tells her that she’s burning. Is it warm? His laugh becomes more hysterical as he shouts out that she’s burning. Mother is burning! With this she’s finally become his… isn’t that right, Mother? Finally! Finally!! He laughs even more before saying that they’ll be together forever from now on. Isn’t she pleased?

Kanato wakes up in Yui’s room and murmurs about how that was a nostalgic dream. Beside him Yui is sleeping soundly and he notes that it’s still day. For him to wake at this time… He calls out to her and tells her to wake up because he’s wide awake. But she continues on sleeping and he frowns before thinking that he might have done too much last night.

As he continues looking at her he suddenly smiles and whispers that her sleeping face is nice. It’s as if she died and it’s very lovely. He confesses that he didn’t think he would be able to have another person he wanted to make his alone. He grins before telling her to rejoice in that.

He whispers that from hereon he’ll always love her… and break her. He confesses that he can’t help but want to break beautiful things and loved things. Then he says 「・・・だから・・・愛してあげます。壊してあげます。愛してあげます。壊してあげます。愛してあげます。壊してあげます。ずっとずっと・・・永遠に・・・」(… That’s why… I’ll love you. I’ll break you. I’ll love you. I’ll break you. I’ll love you. I’ll break you. Forever and ever… for eternity).

No.01 - Vampire Ending

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

They’re in Kanato’s room at night and Yui groans on his bed. Kanato smiles as he asks if she’s awake, which makes her open her eyes and nod with a blush before she asks for the time. He points out that such a thing shouldn’t matter, right? Yui reminds him that they have school, but he gives her a confused look and asks her what she’s talking about.

She returns his confused look with one of her own, but then he tells her that she said something strange. Is she still half asleep? She becomes even more confused before admitting that she might want to sleep more. He smiles gently and tells her that it’s fine and to get a lot of rest. He kisses her sweetly and she returns his kiss before giggling, which makes him ask her if something is the matter.

Yui tells him that she loves his kisses, but he frowns and reminds her that it’s simply “Kanato” without the suffix. He asks her why she’s using such a distant way of calling him. Yui blushes and apologizes while using his name without the suffix. Kanato smiles and says 「謝らなくてもいいよ。僕の傷ついた心は、君の血とカラダで癒してもらうから・・・」(You don’t have to apologize, because your blood and body.. will cure my wounded heart…).

She flushes with embarrassment but then he adds that he doesn’t mind if she falls asleep either. He’ll do as he likes. She murmurs his name and he kisses her again. In her mind she wonders what school was and why she called him “Kanato-kun” a while ago. She doesn’t know and the inside of her mind is spacing out. All she knows is the pleasurable feeling of Kanato’s tongue.

It’s morning now in Kanato’s room and Yui groans as she wakes up. Kanato murmurs that he loves her scent, but then he wonders why it’s so nostalgic. How strange. She says his name and he smiles at her as he notes that she’s awake. She asks him if she fell asleep and for how long. He furrows his eyebrows and answers that he can’t see anything but her and so he doesn’t know the time.

Besides, things like that don’t matter, right? He kisses her again and she returns it before deciding that he’s right. Nothing matters other than Kanato. But… why is she here with Kanato? She asks him slowly where this place is and he answers that it’s his room. She asks him what lies outside his door and he answers, with a smile, that there is nothing.

She repeats the word “nothing” curiously, but he only tells her that there’s no need to know about a spreading world that has nothing to do with her. She nods obediently but she can’t help but feel as if there are other people living outside this room. Who are they? She can’t remember… She slowly says out loud that not being able to remember is the same as saying that it doesn’t matter, right? Kanato tells her that she’s right which makes her smile brightly.

Night falls again and she’s woken up by Kanato closing his door. When she says his name, he apologizes and asks if he woke her. She shakes her head and tells him that she was only dozing. Where did he go? She smells blood. He answers that he went to kill his annoying uncle and so she shouldn’t worry. She repeats the word “uncle” with curiosity and he points out that she also has one, doesn’t she?

It’s the younger brother of her father or mother. She repeats the words “father” and “mother” and then asks him if she had those people. He hums thoughtfully before smiling and apologizing for being mistaken. She doesn’t have those kinds of people. She agrees because, when she thinks about it, the only person concerned with her up until now is Kanato. She asks him with a smile why he killed that uncle of his.

Kanato answers that his uncle said it was strange for the successor of the family to be chosen from the six of them. He was annoying and brainless. She tilts her head at the word “six” and asks him if he has siblings, to which he tells her curtly that he does. She wonders if being chosen as the successor means that Kanato contended with his brothers and his uncle?

She comments on how it seems like a problem, but he replies that obtaining her was a greater problem. She’s confused by that and points out that she’s been his from the start, no? He laughs at that and agrees in a strange voice. Then he tells her that Richter, his uncle, said something interesting during the moment of his death. Richter told him that he pulled out the heart of “that person” who was drawing their dying breath beneath the balcony.

Yui wonders who he means by “that person”, but Kanato continues on to say that Richter took the heart and went to a human daughter in a place of nowhere who no one knew and transplanted it. She asks him why Richter would do such a thing, to which Kanato shrugs and answers that he doesn’t understand what such a distorted person was thinking about at all. But after he heard that, he realized something.

He realized that the human daughter must be her. She blinks in confusion as he tells her that he can always feel her and she has a nostalgic scent. Doesn’t she think that this is his mother’s heart releasing her scent? Yui smiles blankly at that and agrees that this might be so. He giggles and tells her that this might be fate. She repeats the word “fate” questioningly and so he reveals that they knew it from the start.

The condition for being the successor seemed to be to obtain her. She tilts her head again and asks if this is why she was his to begin with. He laughs before agreeing that she, and his mother’s heart, belong to him. Then he tells her that he’s going to be leaving for a bit again. She frowns and asks why, to which he answers that he’s going to go and kill the other hindrances. This is all for the sake of being together with her forever.

Yui smiles brightly at that and tells him that she understands before she wishes him good luck. He informs her that he should return by the time her body changes completely. When she looks at him questioningly, he reminds her that she said she wanted to be a vampire. She asks if that’s true and he pouts before telling her that it is. This is why every night and day he keeps on repeating the things he does to her and her body.

She’s gradually giving up her humanness. This is what they call an awakening. When she nods with a smile, he also tells her that right now she’s spent so much time with him that she’s no longer human anymore. He informs her that to be born again as a vampire is a bit painful and will hurt… but she likes that kind of thing, doesn’t she? She tells him happily that she loves everything he gives her.

He tells her that he’ll be giving her the pain that accompanies the transformation and so she can accept it with relief. She nods excitedly with a large smile. Finally he tells her that he’s leaving and gives her a goodbye kiss. She sends him off with a giggle. But the moment he leaves she frowns and thinks about how she’s lonely. She decides to sleep and hopefully the next time she wakes up Kanato will have returned home.

When she closes her eyes though her heart starts to beat loudly and she flinches at the pain. It hurts and she can’t breathe. It’s as if there are needle stuck all over her body. She starts to smile though because even if it hurts this is the pain that Kanato gave her. This is pain for the sake of being together for eternity with Kanato. What to do, she’s so happy. She’s become a vampire.

Epilogue! Kanato tells her that she looks beautiful and she thanks him before returning the compliment. He laughs and thanks her before saying that, from today onwards, this place will be their residence. She comments on how large the castle is, but he points out that it’s the castle that the leader of the vampires is living in. She wonders out loud if it’ll be possible to clean it.

He informs her that they can abduct some humans and make them work day and night. She reminds him that humans are weak and if they do that then the humans will collapse immediately. He answers that when they collapse they can drink them dry and then burn them. That is the best result that will be most comfortable without causing any trouble, he thinks.

She hums thoughtfully and then agrees to this plan. He nods with a smile and then recalls that she hasn’t sucked any human blood yet, has she? He tells her that he’ll bring her lots of different humans since she doesn’t know what kind of blood she prefers yet. He encourages her to suck them dry to the point of her desires. She nods and thanks him, but then he reminds her that the only person she should mix her body with is him.

Because he’s obviously going to make her the only one he sleeps with. She promises him. And then the bells ring, which makes Kanato tell her that they should enter their new home soon. She nods before confessing to him that she’s looking forward to their daily life from now on. He whispers into her ear that he is as well because all of the hindrances and everyone is dead… there is no one to break their happiness anymore.

She tells him that she’s happy. In return he says 「僕とユイの仲は、死すらも分かつことができない。・・・そうでしょう?魂が燃え尽きるまで、君だけを愛し抜くと誓うよ・・・」(Our relationship cannot be broken even if death do us part… isn’t that right? ‘Till my soul burns out, I vow to love only you).

No.02 - Manservant Ending

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

Ecstasy 07! Kanato describes his dolls to her and asks her if she thinks he’s scary. She tells him that she thinks he’s cute because he really loves his dolls. He thinks she’s strange. She thinks he’s the strange one although she won’t tell him that. Anyway, he thinks the word “cute” has a nostalgic ring to it since “that person” called him that.

Ecstasy 08! Teddy is burnt and as they kiss Kanato tells her to stick her tongue out. She tells him to do it instead and he replies that he doesn’t mind being attacked but he loves seeing her embarrassed and with her tongue out. It makes her look extremely dirty.

Ecstasy 09! Yui is locked in the storeroom and Kanato threatens to burn her unless she says the right thing. Instead, she snaps at him to put out the fire because it’s dangerous. He angrily tells her not to disappoint him and if she has that much time to say that then she should cling to his leg and beg for forgiveness. She apologizes, but he asks her if she is just going to apologize? And she says that she loves him? Anyway, he’ll forgive her if she promises to be his servant.

Ecstasy 10! She thinks that she’d be extremely happy in a world with just them. Kanato is happy to hear that and he agrees that everyone other than them are hindrances. He’s relieved that she has the same opinion as him and now he wants to make love to her to feel her even closer. She does as well.

Ending! She loves Kanato. She loves his tongue, his fangs, the faint pain with when they open their bodies. She loves the pleasure that he gives her. She loves him. Every day and every night, she wants to devour each other.

In his room, Kanato moans out about how delicious she is as he sucks on her. Yui is panting with pleasure as she begs him to suck more blood. He smiles with amusement and calls her greedy, but he obeys her wishes. He whispers out that he loves her and she replies that she does as well.

Some time later, Laito asks Yui what she’s thinking about on the school rooftop. Her eyes widen before she apologizes for spacing out. He laughs and continues to lick her as he asks if she was thinking about Kanato. She stiffens at that and he laughs again before calling her a bad girl; but it’s also cute. In her mind she apologizes to Kanato.

Some time later, Yui enters the music room and Shu sighs at how she’s come again. He drawls out that she’s lewd beyond saving and she flinches at that, but he laughs before he pointing out that it’s the truth. She has no right to have a wounded expression. Anyway, he tells her that if she wants her blood sucked then she should come closer quickly before he changes his mind. She obeys and inwardly apologizes to Kanato for being a weak human.

Some time later, Kanato enters Yui’s room and asks her if she’s awake. She calls out his name happily and tells him that she is. Did something happen? He answers that he felt like she wanted him for some reason. She gasps in amazement and blushes before asking him how he knew that. He replies that he knows quite a bit about her. She’s happy at that and as he climbs onto her bed she blushes at the thought of how she much she loves him.

Kanato loves her. As long as she is with Kanato, she always feels good. His voice drops as he asks her if she wants to do “that” again. She begs him and he laughs at how it can’t be helped before he sinks his fangs into her. She winces at the pain but reminds herself that as long as she’s with him then she’s extremely happy. And yet… why is she always in the act of leaving him?

Some time later, Ayato comments on how she’s polishing up on her lewdness day by day, isn’t she? The two of them are in the dungeon. She notices that she’s been called “lewd” again. Is she really… that? Ayato doesn’t mind though since it lets him have fun. He bites her and she flinches in pain, which makes him huff in amusement. She has the same irresistible flavor as always… In her mind she apologizes to Kanato but without him she becomes unbearably lonely.

Some time later, Kanato slams open the door to the bathroom and Yui gasps his name out. His voice is emotionless as he notices that she’s in the middle of changing, but please he’d like her to continue. She hesitates which makes him ask her if something is wrong, because their relationship is at the point where she shouldn’t be embarrassed, no? She blurts out that this place is bright though.

He reminds her that they’ve done it countless of times in bright places, and she can only nod weakly at this. But then he informs her that he’s been thinking that something is strange. Lately, she never strips her clothing off. At the beginning she used to strip herself completely, and that’s why he can’t help but think that it’s unnatural. He became curious as to the reason why… which has led to what he’s doing right now.

Kanato informs her that when he passed by Subaru in the hall he smelt her scent. Then, on the way when he took a look at Reiji’s room, her scent came out from the open door. Yui tries to stutter out that there must be a mistake, but he tells her that it was the scent of her blood. Does she think that he would mistake that? She winces as he adds that Ayato, Laito, and Shu have her scent as well.

She inwardly panics and wonders what she should do. He smiles chillingly and says that if she still wants to say that he’s mistaken, then he would like her to lift the hand she has been pressing on her neck all this time. He wants to make certain whether or not there is a fang mark other than his. She tries to apologize, but his voice drops as he orders her to show him, quickly.

Yui tries to beg for forgiveness, but he suddenly screams at her to show him. She has no choice but to obey him and she apologizes as he confirms that he was right. He comments on how amazing it is, because the area around her neck is completely red. It’s covered in bite marks. She apologizes again, but he only chuckles and compliments how commendable these scattered bite marks are.

When he looks at them, he can tell the different parts that they like to drink from. She chokes out an apology, but he comments on how Ayato is the one with an inclination for collarbones. The numerous marks on her neck must be from Subaru and Laito? The one who doesn’t have an obsession with any part is Shu… and the ears are Reiji. He laughs hollowly before saying that it’s interesting.

She begs him to stop and tells him that he’s mistaken! She apologizes again, but he asks her lowly what he’s mistaken about. She blurts out that the only one she loves is Kanato and she doesn’t feel that way about the others. He’s wrong! He compliments her nerve to say such empty words. She tries to tell him that it’s the truth, but he only states that he’ll have to teach her since she doesn’t seem to understand herself.

He informs her that while she says that her body and heart are his slaves, the truth is that she’s a slave to the pleasure of having her blood sucked. As long as pleasure is given, she doesn’t mind who the person is… right? She tries to tell him that he’s wrong, but he screams out that he’s not mistaken. She shouts back that he is wrong. She’ll die without him but… she doesn’t think about people other than him like that!

That’s why when he leaves her, even for a little bit, she becomes unhappy… to the point where she doesn’t know what to do. But, during the times when she isn’t by his side, she obtains a peace of mind by having the others suck her blood. He repeats the word “peace of mind” with a tilted head. She explains with a smile that it feels as if Kanato is together with her. Her loneliness is diverted into happiness.

All the others are merely substitutes for him! That’s why she’s begging him not to leave her! She apologizes desperately again and begs him to forgive her. He scoffs and asks her if it’s true that she’ll die if he’s not there. She replies seriously that she will; her breath stops, and everything becomes pitch dark. She really will die. He smiles as he realizes that she’s saying that all her actions were done because she loves him.

She nods frantically. But then he frowns and asks her what she’ll give him as an apology then. When she looks confused, he points out that she should understand that he won’t let it end like this. He’s angry; to the point where he doesn’t mind tearing her apart. For the sake of appeasing him, what will she do? She opens her mouth and he encourages her to go on with a smile.

What she can do to apologize to him… The thing that will please Kanato… The thing that will make a clear distinction… She asks him if he’ll be delighted if she kills. There’s a long silence before he laughs and asks her who she’ll kill. There’s another long pause before she answers… the other five.

The very first to die was Reiji. She asked him to sample a new black tea, but the inside was mixed with a large amount of sleeping pills. And when he fell asleep, she stabbed him…and stabbed him… and stabbed him. Lastly, she burned him so he wouldn’t revive. The end.

Next was Ayato and Laito. She told them that she wanted them both to suck her blood together and called them to the storeroom at school. After she called them, she seized an opportunity and ran out while locking the two of them in. Then she burned the entire storeroom. The end.

Shu was simple. She approached him as he slept and injected a drug that she took from Reiji’s room. She left Shu, who was unable to move due to the drug, in a fire. The end.

Subaru smelt danger and nearly killed her after she attacked him at school but… luckily Subaru tumbled down the staircase. With the knife that she brought, once again she stabbed… and stabbed. When he couldn’t move, she burned the entire school. The end. With this… Kanato will surely be pleased… right?

In the dance hall, Kanato laughs gaily and compliments her for being amazing. She really killed all of them! She replies with a blush that she worked hard because she made him angry. Besides, those five said she couldn’t do anything and so they were already completely unprepared. He praises her again for doing a great job and remarks on how hard it must have been.

She tells him that when she thought about how this would please him everything became fine. Is he pleased? Kanato giggles before telling her that he is pleased. He’s moved by how much she loves him. She nods before telling him seriously that she really can’t live without him. His voice lowers as he agrees on how it seems that way. He chuckles and calls her cute.

After this they won’t be apart, not even for a moment. They’ll be together forever. Isn’t she happy? She exclaims that she is and then she thanks him. He embraces her from behind and whispers that as a reward he’ll give her a lot of love tonight. However, from now on he’ll want her to work hard for his sake. Yui nods happily and tells him that she understands. Kanato informs her that he’ll reward her then. Tonight he will suck blood from her entire body.

She thanks him happily and he laughs lowly before sucking on her neck. He pants out 「ふふ・・・今の君は・・・とても素敵ですよ・・・美しくて・・・壊れていて・・・僕の求めているモンは、これだったのかもしれないな・・・」(Fufu… the current you is… so very lovely.. so beautiful… so broken.. What I was searching for.. might have been this…). He tells her that he’ll love her for eternity. That’s why he wants her to break more and more.

No.03 - Brute Ending

(Taken from yumemirusekai.wordpress.com)

Maniac 07! Kanato is crying in his room and begs her not to leave him alone because he feels cold. Yui tells him that it might just be his imagination since she’s warm in this room. He starts to scream at her and asks if she’s lying and if she wants him to tremble in cold for eternity in this rain.

Maniac 08! Kanato tells her that he wants to break beautiful things and asks if she understands. Yui tells him that she understands because beautiful things are beautiful even when broken. Because if one doesn’t know if the thing in front of one is beautiful then they should break it, and if it’s broken then that means it was really beautiful and so there’s no more doubt. She’s inwardly shocked by what she’s saying.

Maniac 09! They’re exploring the underground canals and Kanato asks if she remembers their first time at the lake. She does remember it and he’s glad because he recalls it vividly; how she clung onto him, the sounds she made, and the expressions.

He finds all her expressions intense such as her face warped in pain, her face enduring sadness, her face dyed with pleasure, and her face sunken in despair. They’re all first-rate. To him, most humans are foolish and stunted and worthless. But he doesn’t have the hobby of sleeping with worthless humans. He’s interested in her.. next to Teddy.

Maniac 10! Kanato is staring into the mirror and Yui’s heart thumps loudly before she tells him that it’s creepy. She didn’t think he was such a narcissist. He grows angry and thinks that he’s been too soft on her if she thinks she can talk to him like an equal; she’s presumptuous about her value to him. Inwardly, Yui is alarmed at how she said something weird again. He’s unhappy to the point of feeling sick and thinks she’s the disgusting one.

Ending! Kanato is sucking her blood on the rooftop of the school. He moans out about how delicious her blood is and then notices that she’s crying. He asks her if she’s crying out of happiness. Although Yui’s expression is twisted in pain, she only nods. He smiles at that and tells her that he needs to do more to her then. In her mind she tells herself that it’ll be fine, because to be desired by Kanato is happiness. This is the feeling of being loved. She’s happy but…

Some time later, in the living room Ayato repeats her words about how Kanato is scary in questioning tone. She asks him to be more quiet before Kanato hears. He shrugs unconcernedly, but then Shu asks her if she’s finally frightened by that spoiled brat’s true nature. She admits that, rather than finally being frightened, it’s more like she’s been scared of him from the start.

But lately she’s fallen in love with him.. and so when she thinks about how scared she is, she become sad. She doesn’t think it’s good to be afraid of the person one likes. Laito points out that it might be natural to feel that way if she’s going steady with Kanato. She asks if anything can’t be done though… like correcting Kanato. Ayato scoffs at her words and tells her that it’s impossible; even wishing for it is unreasonable.

Reiji suggests that the most realistic method is that she finds another target that’s even more scarier, since Kanato will become more preferable in comparison. Laito offers up Subaru to be the target, which makes said person look over at them with a grunt. Yui doesn’t think that’ll work and for some reason she feels like Kanato needs to be the one to change.

Laito hums thoughtfully before laughing at how surprisingly interesting that is. When Ayato looks at him in confusion, Laito points out that, up until now, they haven’t seriously thought about a method to make Kanato’s character more decent. At any rate, every day is boring and so it’s fun being able to think of these things. Shu sneers at how trivial this is and Subaru agrees.

Reiji is amused at their response and admits that he, unexpectedly, is starting to become interested. Ayato glances over to him in surprise. Anyway, Yui begs them to think and tell her of a good method. In her mind she thinks that if Kanato wasn’t scary then she’d grow to love him even more.

Some time later, in the game room Kanato sighs in pleasure at how they played a game. Yui smiles and admits that darts are interesting! He tells her that he likes billiards more. She tells him that she’s unskilled at billiards and there’s no way she’d win against him. His lips curl as he asks her if she wants to play a game where she thinks she can win against him? He’s disgusted with her impertinence.

She hurriedly apologizes, which he accepts dismissively. More importantly, he has the feeling that she’s been hiding something from him lately. Her eyes widen as he informs her that she’s always sneaking around here and there. What is she doing? It’s suspicious behavior. She stutters for an excuse because she knows that she definitely can’t say that she’s been discussing him with the other 5.

And so she smiles and tells him that it’s nothing. He tilts his head and eyes her silently. She stutters out that it’s the truth and there’s no way she’d hide something from him. He asks her if that’s true and she nods before blushing and confessing that she only loves him, after all. She wouldn’t be able to hide things from him of her own accord. He smiles slowly as he asks her if that means he’s mistaken then.

Yui smiles brightly and tells him that he’s mistaken. She isn’t doing anything! He makes a thoughtful noise at that and she continues to smile innocently. Finally he tells her that he understands and she’s relieved to have been able to deceive him. But she decides to decrease the number of times she talks together with everyone.

Later on she retells the entire incident to everyone else. Ayato grins as he recalls that Kanato had always been like that with an unbelievably sharp nose. Reiji frowns and suggests that, if that’s the case, they should suspend these meetings for a while. Laito complains about how boring that is since ideas were starting to come in. Yui informs them that she’ll call them all together again when the heat is off and then…

Subaru interrupts and tells them that there might not be a need for that. She looks at him in confusion, and then Shu explains that Kanato is outside of the door. She gasps, but then the door opens and Kanato growls out her name. She reflexively says his name as she realizes that this current Kanato is terrible. He’s probably the angriest he’s ever been up to now. If she makes a mistake in her approach…

Yui splutters out that there’s a reason for this, but his voice becomes flat as he calls her a liar. She flinches, especially as he continues on to say that she lied to him… betrayed him… to what extent is the truth? Ayato points out how bad this is, while Laito comments on how befitting this is of Kanato. Shu tells them in a quiet voice to be silent. Yui apologizes to Kanato for meeting everyone in secret, but there’s a reason.

But Kanato snarls out that everyone was deceiving him?! They must have been ridiculing him sneakily… ISN’T THAT RIGHT!? She tries to tell him that he’s wrong, but he shouts out that her words about loving him must also have been a lie, right? Why would she do such a cruel thing!? She asks him to stop and listen to her, but he snarls out that he can’t believe she was snatched from his side as if by a thief when she belongs to him!

His voice is full of rage as he asks how long this has been happening. Could it have been from the start? He was completely tricked… Reiji calmly asks Kanato if he’s aiming his attacks on them. Ayato tells Kanato not to get carried to the extremes. But Kanato is already crying as he growls out that everyone and everyone stole the thing he desires. Do they hate him that much?

Subaru tries to get Kanato to listen to them, but Kanato suddenly tells them that it’s fine. Because he also hates them all. A flame appears and Ayato sneers as he notices that Kanato is determined to fight. Yui begs Kanato to stop and listen to them! But he only calls out in a shaky voice for everyone to die. A blaze erupts and she screams.

Some time later, Yui is gasping in shock at how everyone burned into ashes. By her side, Kanato is panting with exhaustion before he breaks out into hysterical laughter. He screams out 「みんなみんな殺してやった!!僕を騙すからこうなるんです、ざまあみろ!!」(I KILLED EVERYONE!! THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DECEIVE ME. SERVES THEM RIGHT!!).

She can only stare at him in horror. Kanato takes a step closer and asks her if she knows why he made her the only one who didn’t burn. She stutters out that she doesn’t know and so he tells her that it’s because he’s just that interested in her. His voice is rough as he admits that he’s extremely hurt by her betrayal but… he won’t burn her. In exchange, she will become his doll. Isn’t that good?

When she looks at him in confusion, he reassures her in an unhinged voice that there’s nothing to be scared of and it’ll be fine. Does she remember his dolls? She’ll become their companion. She slowly realizes that he’s talking about those wax dolls, which means that all of those dolls are… He tells her excitedly that he’ll decorate her preciously. He’ll keep her body beautiful with no damage.

He asks her if she doesn’t think becoming a doll is much more wonderful than rotting away or becoming ash. She stutters out a refusal and asks for help. He repeats her words with cruel amusement and asks her if she doesn’t think that’s being too selfish. She starts to hyperventilate as he comes up to her and then he tells her brightly 「さようなら、僕のユイさん。良い夢を見せてくれてありがとうございました。」(Goodbye, my doll. Thank you for showing me a nice dream).

Some time later, Kanato is in his doll room and he comments on how his collection has increased by one again. He laughs softly to himself at how his dolls are all superior. He asks Teddy if it doesn’t think so. Then he laughs again and asks Yui if she’s surprised by Teddy’s presence. This isn’t the Teddy that was burned. This is Teddy number two. That’s why there’s nothing inside this one. The ashes of “that person” were really burnt. And so this time it’s her turn.

Her flesh will be that doll and it’ll always be beautiful and adorned. But her soul will rest in Teddy. It’s much better than having it plugged with the ashes of “that person”. Her body and her soul will belong to him for eternity. Not even a single hair will be handed over to anyone. He murmurs 「ああ・・・やっぱり、僕は・・・君を愛しているみたいです・・・」(Ah.. as I thought, I… seem to love you…).

Kanato is grinning as he asks her how she finds her first sky. She replies excitedly that it feels amazingly good! It’s amazing how vampires can really fly in the sky on the night of a full moon. He tells her that after knowing this feeling, it feels idiotic to walk on the ground. She giggles before admitting that he might be right. If only it was always the night of a full moon, it’d be nice.

She blushes as she thinks out loud about how they could then sleep on the clouds and it’d be like a fairytale! He replies with a grin that a cloud is water gathered together and so they can’t climb onto it. She stutters out that she knew that! She was just thinking that if they can fly then they might be able to sleep on clouds as well. It was an example!

He teasingly points out that it felt like she meant it seriously though. She protests but then gasps and tells him to look down. He tells her that she doesn’t have to change the subject that openly, but she shakes her head and tells him to look below at all the glittering lights. Those are the town lights, right? Is it the town Kaminashi? Kanato informs her that she’s mistaken because Kaminashi isn’t this big of a town.

She realizes that he’s right, but she finds it beautiful. He narrows his eyes and falls silent, which makes her ask him if something is wrong. He asks her slowly if she likes the lights of the town below. She looks at him in confusion but answers that she does because they’re pretty. He frowns at that and so she says his name worriedly. Finally, he tells her that he wants to break everything that she holds an interest in.

That’s why, right now, he can’t help but hate that town. He tilts his head and asks her cutely if she wants to attack the town together right now. She giggles at him with a blush and he blinks in confusion. She asks him if he’s jealous and that makes her happy. He blushes before pouting at how it’s not something to be laughed at.

She laughs again before telling him that she’s fine with that. If he wants to then they can go and break that town right now. He grins and says that he thought she would say that. He comments on how tomorrow there might be news about how all the humans in this town died with no blood overnight. She notes that if they drink everyone’s blood then they can last without a meal for the next while.

He suggests that they can shut themselves up in the castle leisurely for a little while. She asks him if they’ll idle away their time, but he points out that now that he’s become the leader he can’t play all the time. She pouts at that and so he tells her that he’ll be together with her as much as he can. She nods happily at that and then notices that they’ve gotten close enough to see the town.

Kanato grins as he tells her that his heart is dancing at the thought of the uproar that’ll happen. She agrees but inwardly she apologizes to the humans who committed no crimes. She’d ask them to forgive their actions. She thinks that they’re very pitiful but… she’ll do anything if it’ll make Kanato have fun. For that sake she doesn’t care about how many sacrifices or victims are made.

Suddenly he whispers into her ear that, after this, everything she holds an interest in… everything in this world that is reflected in her eyes… he’ll break. She blushes and nods before asking him to break everything.

Yui is in the underground canal and she decides that if “it” isn’t here either then she has to give up. She frowns at how vast this place is and it’s as if it won’t be found. Suddenly Kanato appears and asks her with a cheerful smile what she’s doing. She calls out his name happily and tells him that he came at the right time. She lost her rosary. She already searched throughout the castle, but she couldn’t find it.

So she came here thinking that this is the only place it could be in. It’d be impossible if it was swept to the bottom of the sea. What should she do? He tilts his head and asks her why she’s searching for her rosary that hard. She replies that it’s because it’s precious to her. He asks her why it’s precious.

She opens her mouth to explain but hesitates as she wonders why she treasures her rosary. It’s strange because she’s a vampire… He smiles again and asks her if something is wrong. She slowly tells him that she can’t remember. He smirks at that before telling her that he’ll change the question then. He asks her if that rosary is more precious than him. Her mouth drops open and she hurriedly tells him that it would never be!

He laughs happily and tells her that he thought so. Besides, it’s something that she can’t even remember the reason for as to why it’s precious. In that case, she’s under the wrong impression that it’s something precious when in reality it’s something inconsequential. She falls silent and wonders if that’s true. Kanato tells her that she doesn’t need such a thing and so she nods with a smile.

That’s right. Why was she searching for her rosary? As long as Kanato is here, that should be more than enough for her. He asks her if her business is over then and she nods with a bright smile, because Kanato is right and it’s something inconsequential. Anyway, then she asks him why he came here. He informs her that he came to spread these ashes.

She asks him if those are human ashes and he answers that they are. If they don’t burn to ashes the humans whose blood has been sucked dry then they’ll take up space. She tells him that he doesn’t have to go out of his way to spread the ashes. He smiles and informs her that he likes to touch the ashes though. She frowns and asks him if he likes ashes more than her and he bursts out laughing.

He reassures her that she can’t be compared to ashes. She asks if he’s telling the truth and he answers that he is. Then he asks her why she suddenly asked that question. Yui points out that, for all the time she’s been by his side, this is her first time hearing that he loves ashes. He tilts his head and asks if that’s true. She tells him that it is. He laughs before saying that it wasn’t like he was concealing it.

Because there are a lot of things he likes more than ashes. She asks him to give her examples and so he lists things like watching people as they burn and making people into dolls. He also reassures her that the degree of this “love” is nothing compared to her so she can be at peace. She turns red at that but he continues on to say that he can’t see anything but her. She stutters out that she knows that and he laughs before telling her that this is good then.

Anyway, he suggests that they return to the surface. This place is cold and so it’d be better if they don’t overstay. She agrees and then admits that for some reason she feels sleepy. He tells her that they’ll sleep together in his room… naked like animals. She tells him that would be wonderful with a blush. Kanato’s cold hand and her cold hand are entwined. It’s lovely how their temperature doesn’t mix. All she needs is Kanato.

In the castle staircase, Yui blinks in surprise when she sees a butterfly. Why is it in this place? It must have lost its way from somewhere. It’s beautiful and she seldom sees butterflies in this place. She blushes as she wonders if Kanato will be pleased if she shows him. Yui apologizes to the butterfly for capturing it.

She enters the dance hall and calls out to Kanato, asking if he’s here. He says her name questioningly and she embraces him excitedly, which surprises him before he smiles and asks her if something is the matter. She tells him that he wasn’t in his room and so she wondered where he went and then lost her way, since the castle is too big. He points out that he can find her immediately though.

Yui asks him why he can and he answers that it’s her scent. He explains that, ever since her body changed, her nostalgic feeling scent has become sweeter more than ever. She frowns at how her nose doesn’t seem to be that good, because she can’t follow his scent. He whispers into her ear that she’s fine like that. When she asks why, he explains that it’s really cute when she wanders around searching for him.

She turns red and giggles at that, which also makes him laugh. Anyway, he asks her why she was searching for him and she’s reminded to show him the butterfly. She releases it into the air and he blinks in surprise. She smiles brightly and points out how pretty it is. It seems like it entered from somewhere and she caught it in the staircase.

Look at that pattern! It’s her first time seeing the wings of such a beautiful and delicate butterfly. She asks him if he knows what kind of type it is, to which Kanato flatly replies that he doesn’t. She asks him if she can go check out the library then because it’ll probably be in insect encyclopedia. He tells her curtly that she can’t.

She looks at him in confusion. Kanato snarls out that he doesn’t want her to hold an interest in other things any more. She gasps when the butterfly is crushed, but Kanato tells her coldly that an existence that she has an interest in, other than him, cannot exist. Yui realizes that he’s right and she apologizes. But he points out that if she understands then why did she bring the butterfly?

Inwardly she thinks about how rare it is for her to be this scared of Kanato. She apologizes again, but he says to her that he didn’t tell her to apologize. He orders her to answer because he wants to hear her reason. She tells him that she thought he’d be pleased when he saw it. He tilts his head and asks her what that is, and it seems like she still doesn’t understand him at all.

She tries to protest to that but he screams out that she doesn’t, because he already said that he wouldn’t love anything that she held an interes in. He starts to cry and she hurriedly tells him that she knows but… butterflies are unusual and so she became happy unintentionally. He repeats the word “unintentionally” dangerously before he whispers if she knows how much his chest hurts right now.

Yui apologizes again and he points out that if she’s apologizing then it means she doesn’t know. She answers that she doesn’t know it exactly, but she does know that she hurt him and she’s sorry for that. But he smiles slowly and tells her that if she doesn’t understand then he’ll need to train her again. She repeats the word “again” in confusion.

Kanato’s smile is cold as he states that, since her memory is going to disappear at any rate, it’s okay to treat her a little roughly. Her eyes widen in confusion, but he only continues on to say that he doesn’t mind returning to those feelings in those days once in a while. She hesitantly says his name, but he corrects her 「かなと『くん』でしょう?ユイ『さん』。」

He tears her clothing and laughs before mentioning that it’s been a while since he did this. In commemoration, he’s going to give her as much pain as possible. He bites her viciously and she gasps in pain. As he sucks her blood he mumbles that even though she’s a vampire her blood is delicious.

In her mind she wonders why, even though it hurts this much, she feels that it’s nostalgic? The way Kanato looks as if he’s desiring her madly. Kanato snarls out that that all she needs to do is look only at him. She flushes as she finds herself loving him more and more unbearably.

In the forest by the lake, Yui notes that every time she comes here the weather is clear and the scenery is beautiful. She also likes the atmosphere of there not being many people who come here. She exhales and wonders why her body has been completely tired since yesterday. Her body feels heavy and her legs are wobbly. Does she have a fever?

She reminds herself that, from the start, vampires don’t have fevers. She decides to take a small break and she can’t help but think that the atmosphere here is completely different to the one in the castle. It’s peaceful and she can be carefree. But somewhere she’s unsatisfied. A branch snaps near her and she turns around quickly, asking who it is.

Kanato appears and announces himself. She blushes when she sees him and then asks if he’s also taking a walk. He tells her that she’s wrong. He followed her out of worry when she left the castle without saying anything and without returning. She’s surprised by that and asks if she was out that long. He pouts and tells her that it was long; it was one hour.

Yui blinks in surprise and points out that it was only one hour. He tells her that it wasn’t simply one hour. When she didn’t return after an hour he became so worried he couldn’t stand it. He accuses her of not understanding how long that one hour felt. She smiles and tells him that he needn’t have been so worried because she’s fine.

He blushes as he points out that there are many dangers outside of the castle. What will she do if she was attacked by someone? She points out that she’s a vampire and if she was attacked she’d turn the tables. He smirks and asks her if she could in that condition. She hesitates and so he continues on to point out that she was unsteady sometime ago and her health isn’t well, right?

Kanato informs her that she’s anemic and then asks if she drank any blood lately. She’s not sure since her stomach isn’t empty so maybe she didn’t drink… He sighs in exasperation at how much she spaces out and lectures her to be more aware of when she’s lacking blood, whatever the circumstances are. She apologizes obediently, but he tells her that it’s fine since he’s also at fault for not noticing.

He strips a bit of his clothing off and then tells her to go ahead. She asks him if he’s sure, which makes him laugh and remind her that he just said a moment ago that it was fine. He offers her his neck and she blushes as she accepts, although she apologizes and tells him that she’ll only take a little. She bites into him and he laughs softly before remarking on how she’s stabbed her fangs considerably deep.

She nods before explaining that, like this, she feels extremely close to him. He tells her to continue more like that because she surely remembers his taste. She should know what to do. When she looks confused, he asks her if she doesn’t remember. In that case, he demonstrates by biting her deeply. He asks again if she understands. One part of her is mixing within him and they’re becoming one.

Yui flushes and admits that she wants to receive him inside of her. He whispers for her to do as she likes. She nods and bites him even harder, which makes him grunt in pain before he laughs at how much force she’s using. He reminds her not to make a mistake and bite through his throat and she nods while thinking about how she wants to feel each other like this forever. She wants to merge like this.

Epilogue

In Kanato’s room, Kanato tells her to make preparations because they’re heading out together. She smiles and comments on how it’s unusual to hear that from him. Is something the matter? He tells her that he remembered something. When she asks him what it is, he explains that he thought he had erased all his nuisances but then he remembered that she still has one too.

Yui is surprised by that and she points out that has no one but him. He tells her that it’s fine for her not to know, but he simply wants her to come together with him and listen to his request. She repeats the word “request” questioningly, but he merely smiles and tells her that it’s very easy. It’s something to look forward to when she comes with him. She nods excitedly but inwardly wonders why he looks so amused.

Some time later in a church, Kanato kicks someone called Seiji down. He asks with disappointment if the headquarters only has people of this degree. Yui tilts her head curiously and asks Kanato who these people are. He smiles and informs her that they’re nobodies. They are only humans who used to be a little connected with her in the past. For the sake of them having an eternity together, letting these people live is a bother.

She hums thoughtfully and tells him that she doesn’t know these people though. Seiji gasps and Kanato giggles before telling her that she’s right and all of these people are inconsequential to her and so she’s completely forgotten them all. Seiji cries out her name and Yui asks him how he knows her name. She glares and tells him that the only person who can say her name is Kanato, and so he shouldn’t say her name as he pleases.

He tries to protest but Kanato interrupts and orders Yui to kill that man with her own hands. She frowns and tells him that she doesn’t really want to touch this human though. Kanato realizes out loud that this person has killed countless of vampires and so there’s a shiver-inducing air around him. She nods and so he tells her to drink that man’s blood instead then.

Once she takes in his blood that awareness of her dislike will soften. She asks if that’s true and he nods with a smile before he reminds her that she’ll do anything for the sake of being together with him for eternity, right? She asks him if he’ll be pleased if she sucks this man’s blood. Kanato giggles and tells her that he will be… extremely. Yui tells him that she’ll do it then.

Seiji shouts at her to stop, but she snaps back that she already told him not to say her name. She bites him viciously and he screams in pain. Inwardly she finds his blood delicious, but there’s a nostalgic scent… why is that? It must be her imagination. She releases the man and then asks Kanato if this is enough. Seiji groans out her name before collapsing and Kanato laughs before asking if that man is dead.

She nods and tells him that it seems like it. Kanato steps closer to her and asks her with amusement if it was delicious. She replies that it was alright, since Kanato’s blood is the most delicious. He giggles and tells her that to him nothing exceeds her blood though. She grins before pointing out that she can’t suck him dry though and so tonight she’ll have to bear with this human.

Kanato replies lightly that he can’t restrain himself from her though. She blushes as his voice lowers and he asks her to let him drink a little. He starts to suck on her neck and she blurts out that it tickles, but he only laughs and asks her if she isn’t mistaking it for pleasure. As she starts to pant, he asks her if she’s happy right now.

She laughs at the strange question and answers that of course she’s happy; to be together with Kanato like this makes her very happy. He’s glad for that and then he confesses that he’s unbearably happy. He confesses that he loves her and she replies that she also loves him.

Smeared with the blood of the fallen man, they kiss before sharing a smile and giggle. If they are together like this, she can believe that they’ve obtained eternal happiness. Because she’ll always love KanaSt
